Lots of outdated info here! Time for a revision!
Name: Michael, but my friends call me Vernon, Vern, or simply V
Currently Handle: Vernon Vanderbilt
Life Application: I'm 34 years old...very old. Decrepit even.
Outside of GZW, my interests include reading, writing, and hoarding music. I am a bit of an amateur musicologist; music is my greatest passion, and I can easily talk about it longer than you want me to. I apologize in advance for the moment when I inevitably bore you with it.
I am also quite proud of my DVD collection, because I am a wee, small bit of a movie geek. I particularly enjoy zombie films, and have made it my goal to own every zombie film ever released. That should take a lifetime or two. I also like Asian action and the occasional drama, so long as it isn't cookie-cutter. Favourite films? Don't get me started...we could be here a while.
Eyes: Blue, with a teensy dollop of greyishnessness.
Height: About 6'2", give or take an inch.
Pets: None at the moment. I wouldn't mind having a cat, but this is a no pets house. Damn rental properties.
Favourite band: Too many to name, and it changes from minute to minute anyway. Top favorite is probably The Afghan Whigs.
Favourite (musical) artist: Like solo artist? I'll go with Johnny Cash.
Idol: I have several heroes, but none I would rank as high as idol. Maybe Freddie Mercury, since he inspired me to stop listening to country music and to start making my own.
Favourite TV show: Buffy and Doctor Who. They tend to trade the top spot back and forth pretty frequently.
Favourite movie: Another one that changes a lot depending on my mood. Some of my all-time faves include Little Shop of Horrors (the musical version), Gremlins, and Bubba Ho-Tep.
Favourite actor: I think more in terms of character, really. As long as it's not Tom Cruise or Vin Diesel, I guess I'm fine.
Favourite actress: See above.
Favourite Book: Anything by Clive Barker is groovy in my book, since he's my favourite author. Other than Barker's stuff, it's mostly non-fiction for me. I particularly like supernatural stuff, like books about real life hauntings and other strangeness. I'm a paranormal enthusiast. Also into history, a little science, film studies, religious studies, things like that.
If I come up with any other interesting tidbits, I'll let you know or something.
