Oh Great.....Like this match with Hogan vs. Khali will be anything CLOOOOOOOOOOOSE to what the Hogan vs. Andre match was Utterly utterly shite as opposed to utterly shite then? M x blasphemy...as a product of the 80s...that match was a mark out point in wrestlin' for me... "former lil' Hulkamanic" Tate

I agree with Tate. The match may have not been pretty from a scientific point, but from a storytelling perspective it was great. It is easily one of the best feuds of all time.

now they want to trash it by having Hogan vs. Khali.....Hogan vs. Big Show would have been muuuuuuuuuuuch better and I'd atleast watch that match

Blech...that is a nasty thought...Khali needs shooting. It looks like someone tried to rid themselves of him before, just look at how dented the bastard's face is...

I never said the feud wasn’t significant or a mark out point, neither did I say that ‘the slam’ was anything other than a monumental moment. What I said was that the match was utterly utterly shite. I stick by this opinion.

I don't really see a problem with the match but then that's probably more to do with the way I'm lookin' at it...it's a bit of nostalgia (hasn't that become a common trend for 'Mania) and it'll be over in about 5 minutes...it's nothin' important...it's not goin' to result in a huge Khali push...it's just the equivalent of the Evil Empire puttin' on a replay of the Hogan/Andre match....
And if anythin'...I'd have thought people would be happy about it...after Khali loses to Hogan he'll lose a hell of a lot of credibility and will either be demoted down the card or fired....
let's be honest now...watch Hogan vs. Andre from III with the sound off....THAT as far as WWE is concerned is the match they're tryin' to replicate here...Of course nobody will care but it'll be Hogan starin' down a taller dude...tryin' to knock him down...failin' to knock him down...tryin' to slam him...failin' to slam him...gettin' beaten up by him...hulkin' up...knockin' him down...slammin' him...legdroppin' him and pinnin' him...Emperor Vince's company current goal isn't to entertain you...it's to pay tribute to itself by pattin' itself on the back for entertainin' you in the past. It's a celebration of it's own self-suffiency.

But with Khali...... The only reason the Hogan/Andre match was such a success was because they were two of the Biggest names during that time and the hype was already there. With Khali vs. Hogan neither of these two are the big names in the WWE, neither of these who will mesh well together and they hype.....What Hype. The only real big Victory Khali has is against the Undertaker...all his other appearences/matches were to either fight with Taker or to take on some cruiserweights how can you take that and use it as hype?

If they're trying to pay tribute to hogan/andre (let's have 10 mins of nerve holds, people =]) at least bring bobby heenan in to speak for khali -_-.

I for one hope this happens as it opens the door for Cena vs. HBK which is the best route to go.
I strongly believe that besides Edge, Shawn is the only one that can carry Cena to a credible match. In fact, I believe Michaels could get a 4 star match out of Cena at a WM main event. Not that Cena will help but when his mind is put to it HBK is that fucking good. They should then let the poor boy rest for a few months.

IMO, Tate is right about the Khali/Hogan thing. To some extent, so is Rico. However, Hulk Hogan will always be one of the most over wrestler in the whole wrestling world and as such any 'Mania match he has WILL be hyped just because it's Hulk Hogan. I too would LOVE to see Bobby Heenan get involved somehow, Ed.
