WWE are considering changing the Raw & ECW announce teams. Tazz was on Raw this week as a trial, because Kevin Dunn believes Lawler & Ross are too southern. If it is decided that Tazz is to be the long-term replacement for Lawler on Raw, then Lawler would replace Tazz on ECW (which Dusty Rhodes is pushing for). Lawler & Ross are good friends and would likely be unhappy about such a change on a permanent basis.

That would be horrible. Tazz does not belong on the RAW announce team, he's not even very good quite frankly not to mention that JR and Lawler after all these years may as well just come as a double act now.

it really would be different...
but JR/Lawler have been The Best team in WWE's annoucing history since Gorrilla/Heenan
Tazz, like Ishy said, doesn't belong on Raw, He and Cole were a decent team, but he and JR on Raw now I don't think it would fly, but I guess once you get used to them then it will be ok, But I would hate for JR/Lawler to be split up.
But Jerry going to ECW, a brand/company that he's had bad blood history with could work, as he could go back to his heelish ways and continue to show his dislike for the brand which would also increase ratings.....who doesn't want to see Jerry Lawler wrestle occassionally....I know I do....

Jerry Lawler would be good for the ECW brand particularly if he wrestles relatively regularly and becomes more heelish that his recent persona. I agree with Nate. Adding to this, i think that he'd work well with Joey Styles. Particularly if he treats him with the utter distain that he used to treat Vinc McMahon with!  Only difference being that Joey is skilling in commentary whereas Vince sucked and needed the King to carry him. In fact, the more I think of a Style/ Lawler commentary team, the more I like it!  Tazz is okay, but I just don't think he will gel with JR. Saying that, I think JR is a goon anyway! M x |

Taz should get back in the ring... teach some of these idiots a lesson. They are missing some good quality technical wrestling since Chris Benoit started hanging about in his gym.

change is good...I mean look at when it was Kandi/Hunt...Pike/Hunt...and finally The Stooges...it took a minute but each team won everyone's heart...the same can be said for what the Evil Empire might do...I do think they should let Styles go it alone on ECW like he used to in the old days...

Lawler would be interesting to see in ECW seeing as he has never had a good thing to say about the brand.
I think it will take some getting used to having JR and The King on seperate shows. They have been the voices of monday night for so long. Which brings me to the fact that they have been together for that long and it's just decide now that the team is too southern? WTF???

You really think the WWE wrestlers are that bad that they have no one technical left? I beg to differ, all three rosters have some really great wrestlers in. As for the team change, I thought the teaming of JR and Heyman was the best announce team in WWE history. |

Ross + Tazz....eh maybe.
Styles + Lawler.....OFF THE HOOK!
Lawler as a heel again would be GREAT. and maybe having Tazz go to Raw and play the heel to Ross' face would work. Tazz has always been kinda half heel half face, and now with ECW he's really all the way face. on raw he'd be upset about being taken away from ECW and they could make him full on heel.

Tate: Agreement on Styles solo. Joey can carry a show. That said, if "The King" Went heelish, and you had Joey calling it sports style and Jerry giving color... could work.
Tazz... always been debious on his mic, but... meh.
