“Textbook” - Starts off in the Full Nelson position and ends with a variation of a knee to the head/face/chin. Other times he’ll lift them into the air, spin them towards his direction, then meet them in mid air with the knee. Also can be done as a reversal of sorts and pulled out of nowhere.
“pH Driver” - Scoopslam lift to sitout piledriver (Mitchinoku Driver with a bit more vertical spike, in other words)
Background:
Philip has worked his way through numerous psychology programs, taking a strong interest in the human mind. He graduated from Harvard University with a psychology degree and ever since has spent his life analyzing people and trying to find root solutions to specific problems that most psychologists would diagnose based on “the book”. He’s put a hands on effort into his line of work and wants to understand the problems that his patients go through in order to help them with an open mind.
Just recently, his younger brother, Jake DuBois, has been declared “mentally unstable“ by the US Government. Jake‘s former wrestling career was said to have warped his mind over time, and during his last match he nearly killed his co-worker and scripted opponent at the time in a fit of rage. Friends close to him within the company were shocked at the incident and when they tried to stop him, they claimed Jake seemed possessed by his character and actually believed that his purpose that night was to literally destroy his opponent. The young ex-wrestler is now located at the McLean Hospital in Boston, where he was sentenced to after the assault charges. His mental stability hasn’t shown any sign of recovering.
So, in order to help his younger brother, Philip has entered himself into a wrestling training program in hopes to get a better idea of what happened to his close friend and brother, Jake. P.H.D. wasn’t taken seriously to begin with due to his age, but the eagerness and very quick learning expertise he’s proven so far has pushed management to make a better effort in helping him in his quest. However, they feel he’ll try to push himself too hard and become lost in the same way his brother did. For the time being, DuBois is taking baby steps as he adjusts and learns the different styles and techniques to see what suits him best before he makes a full-effort attempt. His brother had taught him a few tricks during his stint when he was making it big, and one of the first “signature” moves he taught Philip was “Textbook”, which he’s immediately incorporated into his style.
