The City of Vancouver has decided to put in new bylaws that prevents WWE or anyone in the combat sports business from running any events within city limits. This now puts quite the kink in any plans that anyone had of Wrestlemania running there. slam.canoe.ca/Slam/Wrestling/2010/10/14/15686986.html~~ - Matt Hardy's release today came shortly after he put up a video on YouTube video from a while ago that showed an unmasked Rey Mysterio eating lunch. Sources in the company believe that's what led to his release, since showing Rey unmasked is a major transgression. Credit: Wrestling Observer

Honestly, I've never really been a Matt Hardy fan. I think he's more the Internet fanboy mark and I think he's HIGHLY overrated by those who praise him over the net. Yes, he's alright. But as a technically sound wrestler?! Psshhh... Nope, he really never has stood up against the greats. I get bored with his matches most times. And I really do wanna like him... I've tried and tried and tried, but I find him tedious. He does the same moveset, he's rather slow paced, and his only stregnths have been in TLC matches or with Jeff. And he's TERRIBLE on the stick. Just to put it out there. Don't care for him, no matter how hard I've tried...

I've never liked Cena but I am enjoying the storyline with Nexus from start until present... I find him watchable and dislike his in-ring set or not. His matches can be exciting when done correctly. I don't think they'll turn him at all. But at least they are finding more interesting ways to make him look human and thus more appealing. Good on, for John Cena.

if Cena EVER turns full out heel again I will officially shutdown the RP side of GZW2K1 and quit RPin' altogether...which of course will never happen...that's how much belief that Cena won't turn in the next five years...people should really let that thought go... Tate

Oh I agree it's a long ways off... and it'd be done at a Mainia ala Stone Cold. I strongly do think it will happen though. Simply because they are running out of heels. Hell... after Nexus there is nothing really fresh for him to do as a face. So I do think it can happen but if it does it'll be a Mainia.

Say what you will... his first tilts with Jericho.. Angle... HHH... Orton... HBK (especially) and his programs with Edge have been entertaining. I hate his hulk hogan gimmick as much as any internet mark but I respect what he's done.
And this storyline with Nexus is one of the most interesting storylines WWE has had as a WHOLE in years. Cena adds to that ALOT. So give the devil his due.
I remember years back when everyone bitched about HHH on this site because he was the "man". It's natural to hate success. Cena's played is part very well.

For me it has nothing to do with him succeeding, it's to do with him sucking and being the very definition of repetitive. I do respect what he's done outside the ring, working his arse off to promote his company, but I don't like the fact that a main eventer only ever has bathroom break matches. That said, I went off him during his rapper gimmick and was never won back.

As reported on earlier this week, actor Freddie Prinze, Jr. was rehired by WWE as a producer and director for the company. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter added that Prinze got in touch with WWE back in August and showed an interest in working again, but didn't want to travel to Stamford. He is slated to be part of all the television shoots involving backstage pre-tapes, on-site vignettes and will join creative meetings via conference call from Los Angeles. Prinze is also expected to fly in to most of the television shoots, but not all. --- As reported on earlier, WWE was going to be releasing a "Top 50 Superstars of All-Time" DVD this year. While the actual Top 50 isn't known, the cover features the following wrestlers as of now: The Rock, Eddie Guerrero, Pat Patterson, Big show, Rey Mysterio, Edge, Jerry Lawler, Shawn Michaels, Gorilla Monsoon, John Cena, Jimmy Snuka, Dusty Rhodes, Jake Roberts, Moolah, Terry Funk, Curt Hennig, Junkyard Dog, Triple H, Roddy Piper, Ricky Steamboat, Ted DiBiase, Randy Orton, Sgt. Slaughter, The Undertaker, Kane, Iron Sheik and "Stone Cold" Steve Austin. Source: The Wrestling Observer Newsletter ~~ Diva Dirt is reporting that Tough Enough is being brought back with the USA Network. Here's to hoping it's like Season 1 of Tough Enough but with experience indy/FCW wrestlers. Also another source concerning Tough Enough"]http://www.deadline.com/2010/10/usa-to-expand-into-reality-programming-and-bring-back-wwe-tough-enough/]Also another source concerning Tough Enough~~ - According to a report on f4wonline.com, newly called-up WWE wrestlers as well as lower-card wrestlers are required to attend a weekly "promo class" directed by Vince McMahon where he instructs them on how to conduct promos. One person noted that the instruction varies from week-to-week as McMahon cannot make up his mind on what he wants.

Uhhh... Isn't NXT basically Tough Enough? Unless they're going to make Tough Enough the REAL deal it was the very first season, then cool. As long as we don't get another Maven. Oh lord...

Hmmm... True. But what about Daniel and Kaval? Technically IFC, but mostly indies for YEARS. I actually consider Tough Enough more like people who want to be wrestlers, but haven't had all the proper training, which is what the first season was, and how we got our amazing John Morrison Oh, and Josh Mathews lol
