There's a concerted effort behind the scenes in TNA as of late to cut costs and save money. Apparently the true decision makers in TNA are coming to terms with the fact that TNA's big money contracts are not doing anything for the company's bottom line and big changes are expected early next year when many of those contracts come up. Dixie Carter's mother Janice is one person in particular who is putting her foot down and demanding more prudent spending. - Jeff Hardy's new Immortal Championship belt, which will serve as the new TNA World Heavyweight title, was created by Top Rope Belts based out of Lexington, North Carolina. The title belt features purple leather, oddly-shaped metal plates and is actually based on one of Jeff Hardy's original paintings. Top Rope Belts also made an original "DILLIGAF" championship belt for Shannon Moore, but the DILLIGAF title is not expected to be used on television. According to sources, Moore wanted to make the DILLIGAF belt part of his on-air character, but TNA decided against that.

Why is everyone wanting a custom made belt, especially wrestlers who don't have powers believing that they can be any kind of Champion. I guess thats the only way Shannon will get his hands on a Championship.
oh and I can't believe that it took TNA this long to figure out that the big stars that the WWE has already bled, won't make the TNA product any better...They just wasted millions of dollars that could have been giving to younger talent, their own home grown talent.

Former TNA Women's Knockout Champion ODB announced Saturday night at Great Lakes Championship Wrestling's sixth annual "Blizzard Brawl" event in Waukesha, Wisconsin that she is retiring from professional wrestling soon.
Meanwhile, former WWE Diva Serena Deeb beat ODB, Traci Brooks and Melanie Cruise in a four-way match at the event to win the GLCW Ladies Championship.
-- Recently released TNA star Raven and Johnny Kashmere are advertised to perform stand-up comedy in Philadelphia on Thursday, Dec. 16 at The Deck at Harbor Pointe. Raven will be appearing at the same venue on Dec. 30.
Samoa Joe's contract with TNA Wrestling has expired, according to multiple sources.
The word going around the locker room is that the former TNA World Heavyweight Champion will work tonight's Final Resolution pay-per-view and this week's iMPACT! while both sides negotiate terms of a new deal.
He has been with the company since 2005.
Abyss did not suffer any broken bones in the spot where he punched out the casket against D'Angelo Dinero, but suffered a number of cuts on his hand. The Motor City Machineguns and Generation Me are both said to be fine following their Full Metal Mayhem match.

As mentioned prior to the TNA Final Resolution PPV, there were forces within the company pushing for TNA champion Jeff Hardy to be sent home from the company and to be stripped of the TNA championship after concern was voiced over Jeff Hardy's condition upon arrival at the PPV. After Hardy met with TNA officials, the decision was made to let Hardy work the show. In speaking to multiple sources after the show, I was told that Hardy claimed his condition was not due to any personal issues but to exhaustion from his recent TNA schedule.
From what we have been able to piece together, Hardy flew from the Middle East where he had worked the trio of TNA house shows in the U.A.E. this past Wednesday (a 20 hour flight). After landing in Atlanta, Hardy then flew on to North Carolina. I was told Hardy was home just one day (and, as one wrestler pointed out to me, that one day was likely dominated by Hardy's newborn baby) before flying to Michigan to make a personal appearance at a Monster Truck event in Detroit with Jesse Neal and Shannon Moore yesterday.
Someone who was in attendance at the event last night noted that Hardy looked exhausted and spoke of how hard his schedule was the last few weeks, as he had been on the road since the day after Thanksgiving. The same person also told me that Hardy was spotted returning to his room fairly early last night. Hardy then flew from Michigan to Orlando earlier Sunday to the TNA PPV.
When the decision was made to change plans, word spread like wildfire that Hardy was being sent home due to his condition. However, once Hardy explained his position, management backed off of alternative plans and agreed to let him work the show. One person I spoke to just as the PPV kicked off remarked, "False alarm."
Had Hardy been sent home, the plan would have been for Eric Bischoff to announce Hardy was injured on the Middle East tour. The match that would have replaced the main event would have been Matt Morgan vs. Ken Anderson vs. Jeff Jarrett. Since Samoa Joe's contract had expired, he would have been held off the PPV. There's no word on who would have ended up with the championship, but my gut is that Matt Morgan would have ended up with the belt.
As I write this, Hardy is scheduled for all of this week's planned Impact tapings.

As previously reported, Samoa Joe's contract with TNA was finished before last night's PPV. Word is that Joe signed something last night, before the PPV, but it is unclear if it was a new long-term contract or just a short-term deal. Joe is scheduled to work the TV tapings this week.

- Hulk Hogan was not at the Final Resolution PPV last night, and according to sources, he will not be at this week's TNA Impact tapings. The reason for this is that Hogan will be held off TV as part of Dixie Carter's injunction that was revealed on the Thanksgiving episode of Impact. TNA tapes four days this week.

To follow-up on last week's story of Jeff Hardy almost being pulled from TNA Wrestling's Final Resolution pay-per-view and stripped of the TNA World Heavyweight Championship due to his condition backstage at the event, Bill Behrens, who coordinates independent bookings for several TNA stars including Shannon Moore, noted on his weekly podcast that company officials have allowed Hardy in the past to wrestle while impaired.
Behrens also discussed Hardy's vicious chair shot to the back of Ken Anderson's head in October, which resulted in the former Mr. Kennedy suffering a severe concussion and sizable wound. He said that Anderson is in a great position to sue the organization since he could claim Hardy was unfit to compete when he issued the negligent chairshot. Behrens says it's considered an "open secret" within the company that Hardy is still using drugs and thus they wouldn't have a chance in court.

Why are they still using this guy if he is a danger to the other Wrestlers....just shows you how stupid TNA is, they would put their Wrestlers in danger like that just to try and get some noteriety. Pathetic.....

According to TMZ, a fight broke out at Hulk Hogan's wedding this evening in Clearwater, FL.
A photographer was trying to score pics of Hulk and his fiancee Jennifer McDaniel as the two were married in his beachside backyard. An employee told the guy to get lost and a fight broke out while the two were actually saying their vows.
Police were called but no one pressed charges. The ceremony then continued without a hitch.

As noted earlier here on the website, a fight broke out at Hulk Hogan's wedding Tuesday night in Clearwater, FL. A photographer was trying to score pics of Hulk and his fiancee Jennifer McDaniel as the two were married in his beachside backyard. An employee told the guy to get lost and a fight broke out while the two were actually saying their vows. Here is the full article from TMZ.com:
It figures ... only Hulk Hogan's wedding would require a referee -- TMZ has learned cops were called when a brawl broke out in the middle of the nuptials this evening in Florida.
Sources at the wedding tell us a photographer was trying to snap shots of Hulk and his bride-to-be, Jennifer McDaniel, during the ceremony in their backyard -- which happens to be on the beach in Clearwater.
We're told a family employee told the photog to beat it -- and then the scuffle broke out just as Hulk and Jennifer were saying their vows. Classic.
Cops were called, but no one was arrested -- since no one wanted to press charges -- and the ceremony continued ...right through Hulk and Jennifer's 'I dos.'
Can't wait to see that wedding album.
