SPOOOOIIILLLLLEEEEEEERRRRRRSSS!!!
Overall, a pretty swell PPV!
IC Title match was pretty good, but that was expected with 3 awesome, young wrestlers. The bit with Vicky was HILARIOUS! And the ending seemed fitting enough. Good match!
Divas tag-team table match... Was... Actually good! Beth Phoenix took a couple of bumps that just looked painful. And the ending, with Laycool not even breaking through the table and Natalya improvising with a bodysplash on top of them... That was great! I don't know if that was the planned ending or not, since the table didn't initially break, but the outcome was still cool!
Tag Championship match was filler. BUT!!! I love Santino and Koz as the champs. And this match further proved that--while goofy--both of them can wrestle. Santino pulled some impressive moves into this match. I especially loved the part where he tried to do a sweep kick to Gabriel, but it was just a light tap... So, instead, he clobbers him in the face Nexus interferes, destroys Santino and Koz... As expected. SantiKoz (OMG YES!!! I JUST NOW MADE THIS AWESOME NAME UP!!! ;D) still Champs.
Morrison vs. Sheamus ladder match for #1 contendership gets match of the night for me. So many good moments in this match. Even the "slower" parts were nice... Like Sheamus working on Morrison's knee and using the ladder in sickly looking ways. Morrison's corkscew leap from the turnbuckle, over the ladder, and PERFECTLY connecting was sweet. Sheamus took an AWESOME crash through a horizontal ladder (from the apron to announce's desk). And the ending was pretty sweet as well, with Morrison using the momentum of the ladder to kick Sheamus in the head. Oh, and not to mention... MORRISON IS #1 CONTENDER!!! Do you know what this means?! DO YOU?! MORRISON VERSUS THE MIZ FOR THE CHAMPIONSHIP!!! I've ALWAYS loved their matches and backhistory. There's so much to build from with these two. And, not to mention, WWE FINALLY taking risks with the "younger" guys. I'm excited for this match, and hopefully it turns into a good feud. Their match is going to be... AWWWWEEEESSSOOOOOMMMEEE!!! ;D
WWE Championship was good as well. Miz just placing Orton in the middle of a broken table and trying to play it off as a win was great. The ending was ok, but kinda came too quickly, I think. Otherwise, everything else went swell. Nice powerbomb by Orton to Riley through the table... Looked as if Orton wanted no part of Riley's crotch in his face, so he kinda just snapped him off in a twisty-unique way. I liked it! Miz is still Champion... YES!!!
Cody Rhodes/Big Show segment wasn't too bad, I guess. I like Rhodes, he needs more matches. Kinda gettin tired of Show, though
World Heavyweight Championship, Fatal Four Way, TLC match. It was ok, but there were some pretty awesome bumps in this match. I liked Ray climbing up the "tower" of tables at the entrance display (eventhough the payoff was a lil weak). Edge's bodysplash onto Kane through the table was cool. Roberto Rodriguez's intereference was a lil funny... He's such a goofy looking tool. Chokeslam to Edge from ring to ringside through table was cool. Del Rio's big fall from the top of the ladder through the table at ringside looked PAINFUL, but sick! Edge spears Kane from apron to ringside through table. And, the best part...
EDGE IS A TEN TIME WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION!!! Obviously, this was extremely predictable, but I still think it's an amazing accomplishment for him. He really did look emotional about it, and he should be proud. Not many have passed such a landmark. I'm looking forward to his reign and probably a feud with Del Rio soon! Now that's gonna be FUN!!!
Main Event... I was pissed about this. This match didn't deserve to be main event. There was nothing special or unique about it. The only reason they made this a main event is to showcase Cena, as usual. This pisses me off. THE MAIN EVENT SHOULD BE A HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP!!! NOT THIS CRAP!!! I give Undertaker/HBK at WM the benefit of the doubt, but this was a stupid move. They SHOULD have given Edge is moment to end the show with a celebration; it SHOULD have ended with the TLC match anyway (hence the title of the damn thing). This as the main event almost ruined the PPV for me, but the rest was all pretty good so I tried to ignore the fact that this was a smack in the face. Cena's AA through a row of chairs was cool, I guess. But the very ending was stupid. K, put Wade under a massive pallet, then dump the row of chairs attached to the entrance setup onto the platform?! Stupid. It did nothing, whatsoever. Absolutely pathetic. Shame on you, WWE, for that terrible ending to an otherwise swell show. Ugh.
