The usual rumour sites are reporting that at the Hall Of Fame ceremony Scott Armstrong is expected to induct Bob, and Road Dogg is expected to make an appearance, probably joining his family on stage, while Terry Funk is expected to induct Abby and Dusty to induct the Road Warriors, with "more surprises" planned.
~~
Jerry Lawler recently stated during an interview with the Fighting Spirit Magazine that he thinks Jim Ross will return to WWE television in some capacity at some point in the future: "JR and I had some tremendous chemistry, but I don't think you've seen the last of that. I think JR will be back on the air in some capacity. He's too good not to utilize"
Lawler also commented on the reasons Vince McMahon has sidelined JR: "A lot of people don't realize what the situation is with him," Lawler said. "He had a couple — I guess three now — real serious bouts of Bell's Palsy, which is very similar in effects to a stroke. They don't really know, but they think the attacks are brought on by stress. Nobody takes their job more seriously than good old JR."
"The reason Vince (McMahon) has kept him off TV all this time is because he's concerned with his health. He's worried that if he puts him back out there regularly, he'll have another Bell's Palsy attack."
WWE Hall of Famer Roddy Piper will be doing stand-up at The Comedy Works in Denver, Colorado from Thursday, April 14th through Saturday, April 16th.
- Jim Ross and WWE announcer Carlos Cabrera will be hosting a press conference this afternoon in Mexico City at 3:30pm from the Vive Cuervo Salón. The event is free and open to the public.
There are rumors that WWE will be announcing a future TV taping in Mexico or introduce Mistico as the newest member of their roster. It's interesting that WWE's press conference will take place just two hours after EMLL's press conference where they will discuss Mistico leaving their promotion for WWE.
- Triple H is having more control over WWE's recruiting these days and it will be interesting to see what kind of guys he's looking for over the next year or so. It's said that Triple H has a mindset of making talents into something before putting them on the main roster and TV, through introductory pieces. WWE is now working with a former wrestler in the UK, who is scouting talents for them, looking for guys with impressive builds.
-It's said that Vince McMahon is loving the current Michael Cole vs. Jerry Lawler storyline as he gets to live vicariously through Cole. Most of Cole's key lines on TV are fed to him by Vince. The current angle with Cole and Lawler is being patterned after Lawler's most famous angle ever, the one in the early 80's with comedian Andy Kaufman.

Some weaksauce matches there. I'm looking forward to Mysterio/Rhodes, though. This angle with Cody is pretty cool, and I like the idea of mask vs. mask in this case.

03/03/2011 – U.S. Secretary of State Clinton Slams Pro Wrestling for Being Anti-American
From Slam! Wrestling:
Testifying before the U.S. Foreign Policy Priorities Committee yesterday, U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton blamed professional wrestling, in part, for damaging the perception of America abroad, in a speech broadcast live on C-SPAN. The former Democratic Presidential candidate said that while other countries like Russia were exporting "instructive" information through their English language news services (Russia's English language RT news channel), America was exporting inferior programming.
"I remember having an Afghan general tell me that the only thing he thought about Americans is that all the men wrestled and the women walked around in bikinis because the only TV he ever saw was Baywatch and World Wide Wrestling," she lectured with a stern face to the sitting members of the U.S. Foreign Policy Priorities Committee
Clinton further blamed TV shows like U.S. professional wrestling for being at "counter purposes to what we truly are as Americans," leading to "Al Jazeera winning." The former First Lady used the bogeyman of professional wrestling while defending the U.S. State Department's budget, while asking for more money to win an "information war" that America was "losing."

-- The Miz has become the first person to hold the WWE Championship for over 100 days in over two years. The last person to do so was Triple H, who held the title for 210 days before losing it at Survivor Series 2008.

yea, I miss the days when people like Bret, Taker, HBK, Diesel, Austin and others held the title for about 5 months at a time. When the title goes that long without changing, it gives it alot more credibility.

Didn't JBL hold it for over a year? And I thought Edge has had longer reigns as well. Jericho also held it for quite some time, too. Unless they're just saying the WWE Championship over the WH Championship?
I think the WH Championship holds a lil more credit over the WWE Championship. Must be because they want to give Raw a change a lot more frequently than Smackdown.

yeah I think they just mean their (WWE) title since the WH title is the "Big Gold" and still carries the lineage of WCW....

Details are still coming in on this story, but a hot topic behind the scenes in WWE is that Rey Mysterio recently asked to be released from his contract. Mysterio reportedly told company officials that he would retire if they did not let him go. The situation occurred before WWE’s big Sin Cara press conference two weeks ago in Mexico City. Stay tuned for more on this developing story.
