This is Caisha Aas, Brian's now widow.
I'm sorry to have to tell you all but I'm sure he wanted you all to know, Brian was killed by a drunk driver on October 12th coming home from a job interview in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He always loved being a part of this place and really regreted basically abandoning it for his family. He will be missed so much by me and everyone in his life, but I'm sure that he's in a much better place now looking down on us from time to time.
You all take care and live each day like it could be your last.

I'm very sorry. I'm not very good at typing such things, but I wish you and your family all the best. Perhaps you wouldn't want to, but you can always come and talk to us here in GZW, Caisha. It will be important to us all here to make sure Brian is remembered, and you're always very welcome.

I am so sorry to hear about this. This in unbelievably horrible and upsetting in a way I couldn’t adequately put even if I was inclined to try.
Times like this, I realise that I am completely inept at saying anything meaningful. I can’t begin to imagine the extent of your loss, and all I can do is genuinely tell you that you and Brian’s family are in my thoughts. Thank you for telling us Caisha, I’m sure I speak for all of us when I say we deeply appreciate you telling us rather than us never knowing what happened to him.
Brian was one of us – a real family member, a great guy, and my friend. I will miss him, like I know everyone here will.

Times like these I usually stay quiet because words cannot ever aptly do justice to a soul now wandering.
My condolences nonetheless...

Had some time to let it sink in and it's still pretty shocking... and the way this has happend, the people Brian loved and cared for, and all of us here who have known him for really... years now will miss him dearly. I certainly remember many conversations with Brian about GZW... and about his family and life in general. He was always up for talking, and I'll remember him for having such a great sense of humor. Even enough to tolerate my sometimes too arrogant self. He was always great to talk to, and always offered great comments about any RP he liked and generally just really enjoyed everything we all have done here.
I know the last time we chatted he was upset about not being able to put all he could into GZW... but it speaks volumes for the type of guy that Brian always was. His family came first, which is such an admirable quality for all of us to follow. His comments, his jokes, his overall attitude will be greatly missed here... and personally by me as well. I'll miss ya buddy. And hopefully you're in a better place, with no worries in the world, as you most certainly earned the best.
I'll miss ya, and do my best to honor your contributions and strengths every day I can.

This further enrages me at drinking and driving. It really is a horrible combination, no matter how well you think you can after drinking. Still probably hasn't sunk in that he's gone, especially since some of us have known him for years. I'm sure when I start lookin back at shows and whatnot it'll definitely hit harder, 'cause he really was an awesome guy. Truly devestating... Joe was enough of a loss. I was hoping we wouldn't have to experience another

RL First. We hear it all the time, and we all do abide by that rule, but if there was a guy who I KNEW followed that rule to a T it was my boy Brian. I know we all have certain people who we run into online more than others, talk to more than others, and become kool with more than others. and because me and Brian came in at around the same time, he was one of those guys who I really felt buddy buddy with. Little known fact me and Brian shared our first ppv match here in GZW. KK vs Jacob Helmsley. something me and him always talked about AND talked about doing again. Whenever the thought of a new angle came up Brian was always one of the guys I asked to be a part of it, because I wanted to see him succeed because i liked the guy. See I can only speak on him as a GZW family member because in all actuality thats what he was to me. he was a screen name, a great handler, and a msn text box.
But from what I saw talking to him on msn, he was as real a man as it got. i remember many nights getting those jibberish messages because he had his kid sitting in his lap. him leaving because he had to go tend to his sick little one. telling me how much he loved his family. I may not have known him farther than here, but he's definately the kind of guy I wish i could have known more personally.
We lost another soldier that we didn't need nor want to lose. Part of this bith we call life. shame such a good guy had to go, but I know he's up there in the coulds, looking over his family and friends, and whenever he gets the time, reading every rp, and every show. I'm gonna miss you Brian. And my condolences to his family and friends, and thnk you, because it took a very strong woman to come on here and post the bad news for us. heres to you, heres to your family, and here's to my boy Brian.
