Word is circulating that GroundZero Wrestling 2K1 Intercontinental Heavyweight Champion John Champa and GroundZero Wrestling 2K1 Women's Champion Davina Cameron have refused to wrestle one another. At the upcoming Sunday Storm broadcast the two champions are scheduled to wrestle one another.
No official word from the Command Suite but an insider has reported that "the commissioner's office states one way or another the two WILL wrestle at Storm."
With John Champa's contract set to expire on December 31st, GZW2K1 is scrambling to get the Big Shot to re-sign. It is believed that Champa has become quite disgruntled with his perceived "lack of a main event push" and has voiced that retiring is a viable option to be considered. It is has long been viewed by the Command Suite that Champa is a great "utility player" able to "bridge the midcard and main event".
It is rumored that at the upcoming Sunday Storm broadcast an announcement concerning the GZW2K1 Presidency will be forthcoming. As it has been reported current GZW2K1 President Seth Richards will be stepping down after a length reign. Up to this date only current GZW2K1 Vice-President Angel Profit-Williams has been given public consideration to become the new President.
Many believe that Ring of Honor Icon Nathan "T-Rex" Williams will announce his official bid into the Presidential race. There is also a suspicion that Ring of Honor Icon Sincere will be making a power play in order to get his name thrown into consideration.
Many are unsure of what to think about the direction GZW2K1 is taking with World Heavyweight Championship scene allowing an "untested and unproven" talent to shoulder the burden of the company. While the locker room opinion is split with the 2012 Lord of the Coliseum Munin as the top representative, the Command Suite is fully behind the decision. From a business standpoint, stock for the company has risen considerably since crowning Lady Munin in October. On top of that, many advocate organizations such as Fight Like A Girl (in which Lady Munin is the official spokesperson) have applauded the company and are looking to partner with the wrestling company in future ventures.
