As speculation mounts regarding his future in GroundZero Wrestling 2K1 following his recent surgery, GZW2K1 Globalstar William Saint better known as The Mongrel has posted an update on his condition over at his official Twirker account:
"I'm the healthiest I've been in 5 years. You haters go to hell! To the fans I'm healing great! THE MONGREL LIVES!!"
Saint announced he was undergoing surgery (reportedly for his shoulder) last month. He also indicated shortly afterwards that he would leave the company and retire from wrestling if he felt he could no longer perform at the level he once did.
It has previously been reported that Saint, who has had a tumultuous relationship with GZW2K1 management in the past, was looking to leave the company and pursue a Hollywood career.
But regardless of what has been claimed, Saint's update signals that the former "Wild Card" Eddie Knoxville Television Champion is more motivated than ever to get back on GZW2K1 television. At a time when the promotion needs all the stars it can get, this can surely be considered welcome news.
