The official GZW2K1 Twitter account this afternoon teased that a 'huge announcement' will take place in early June with regards to plans for the upcoming Heatwave 10 pay-per-view. Earlier this year HotWire Magazine reported on a number of possibilities GZW2K1 were exploring: Sources suggest that GZW2K1 is going to go 'all-out' in an effort to make upcoming landmark pay-per-view Heatwave 10 the greatest event in the promotion's long and storied history. No stone is being left unturned, and every possibility is being discussed. GZW2K1 would like for the show to be a celebration of the past, as well as the present and future, and many legendary stars of yesteryear are expected to appear in one form or another. Current plans also suggest we will see some form of resolution to the 'Who Ran Over Angel?' saga at the June/July pay-per-view. Not usually one for integrating with mainstream pop culture, GZW2K1 are nonetheless keen to get at least one A-list, globally recognized celebrity involved in this year's show. Actor Jack Nicholson made a brief cameo at Heatwave IV, and Prince William appeared (via satellite) at Heatwave in 2011. It seems likely that June's 'huge announcement' will have something to do with at least one of the above mentioned items. The return of a legendary star? A-list celebrity involvement? Resolution to the Angel hit-and-run angle?Everything is speculation at this point. The milestone event, Heatwave 10, is scheduled for June 30th 2013.
