Icon Lord Leon Corbin, Lady Munin, and 2 more like this

It was business as usual for the raven haired beauty. With her high waisted pvc pencil skirt and white billowing lace shirt, she appeared more like the Eva of old than she had in years. Her make up was minimal, her eyes bright as she smiled serenely through the camera. The room around her was bare, a white brick wall throwing the full focus onto the woman.
It’s been a long time, hasn’t it kids? Missed me? Do I even need to ask? After my defeat at Aftermath I slipped to silence. Not something I intended, or something I’m going to repeat. It was a good match, some may even say a great match. We all fought hard and took our cheap shots where we could.
Her almost playful tone took the edge of her words. Though coming from Eva is was more likely to be a compliment than an insult. You all took cheap shots when you had to, some of them she just wish she’d seen first. Wathcing the match back she had been begrudgingly impressed.
I’m not here to talk about the past though. Maker knows I do enough of that…….Alex, I have to echo your sentiment that there’s no problem between us. For me this is just business, though with that in mind I should remind you that I have been in this business a very bloody long time. That’s not a dig, I’m not prodding you with my old timer snark or playing holier than thou. That’s not my thing and lets be fair, im not that old. I’m also not going to fight Leon’s battles for him. He’s big enough, and ugly enough to handle his own play ground drama. He wants to act like the biggest bully on the yard then that’s his business. As long as he doesn’t wander into my game, he can do what the hell he likes. The big thing folk need to remember…….unless were in the match together, unless were actively tag team partners at that exact moment. We don’t step into each others mess.
It was mostly true. As far as their professional lives were concerned nothing short of a roster wide beat down would bring out the other half. They were confident enough in each other not to want to intrude. They’d be pissed off on their behalf, and behind the scenes making too much fuss. On camera though they had enough respect for one another not to constantly need to rush to the rescue.
Funnily enough I never once thought you’d be an easy win. You’re a champion, an eager young up and comer with everything to prove. No match with you should be easy. What I did anticipate was a little more focus in the direction of your threat. See, I never expressed an interest in your belt, never once crossed my mind. I’ll be honest, gold isn’t my thing. Clashes horribly with my skin tone, and never quite looks right with black……….Jokes aside, you may have stepped over every challenger you’ve had so far, you may have held the belt for longer than most other folk have managed but you weren’t on my radar. I didn’t want your belt then. As a competitor there was nothing to gain from beating you. Now, the games changed.
Her expression immediately changed, her smile fading. He eyes hardening along with her tone.
Like it or not Alex, you are facing me, not his lordship. I can be both a diva and coward, all humanity has its flaws after all. When it comes to our sport though, well that’s another world entirely. In this world I’m one of the greatest wrestlers of our generation. In this world I am a very serious threat to your IC title, and you really should be asking yourself what your real odds of walking out of this with it are. I’m not afraid of you, im not even worried…..I’m intrigued. You have your eyes firmly on the bigger bastard in this, and that is a very big mistake. Don’t underestimate me Alex. I’ve walked this path before with worse monsters than you. Hatred and anger are nothing new to me sweetheart. Taking the brunt of someone elses fuck up? All relative really, isn’t it? Do your worst, bring your best and hope and pray to whatever deity of your choosing that you make it out of this in one piece. Blind yourself with your own bloody fury and hype. At the end of the day, you are good…..but I’m better and I’m going to prove it by walking out of there with your belt.
The ghost of a smile touches her lips but never materialises. The cold, seriousness in her eyes left little doubt that for better or worse. She was back.
