The sound of clapping is muffled in the humid foggy air of the park. Sounding loud only in it's virtual silence. The park is empty of patrons for the most pa Except for a few brave, or stupid, souls that go jogging in the park at night.
We find the source of the clapping to be none other than Munin. She sits at an old wrought iron park bench directly under the old fashioned electrical street light. The led bulb shines like the sun compared to the gas flame that once took its place.
The light cast shadows over Munins already black clad form, causing the paleness of her skin to stand out in stark contrast.
"Wow, Kolic managed to deliver us a heap of condescending bull shit. Wait I take it back that was a half assed heap of condescending bull shit.
With a cheeky grin Munin faces the camera. Flicking a strand of her hair out of her face with a chuckle.
"Hello Globalverse, you maybe wondering why a park? Well, the answer is simple. Why not."
She drapes both arms on the back of the bench.
"So, Kolic shows his true colors, and everyone is shocked. Why? Did none of you see this coming from the beginning?"
Munin shook her head in a near chiding motion.
"I'm so disappointed in you Globalverse, I had so much faith in you. Everyone knows that Kolic is a "Crusader" for all things that are good, but I guess most people never thought of what being a Crusader entails. Sure the title sounds noble and romantic, they were warriors for the Catholic Church, they were also gigantic assholes."
Running a hand through inky strands she lets out a deceptively calm sigh.
"Assholes that believed it was their God given right to conquer a country, and mold its culture to fit their ideals. They did this by converting those with different beliefs, whether they wanted to be converted or not. This usually consisted of spreading the "good" word, massacring, and pillaging, the savage people that were foolish enough to think that they had a right to their own customs and beliefs. If they were unable to conquer a country they destroyed it."
As she recites this small history lesson her eyes lose the good natured amusement. Despite this sudden coldness, her voice remains the same; calm cool and collected.
"Does any of this sound familiar?"
Munin Leans forward with a restlessness jerking motion, that belies the underlying fury that rages beneath her calm facade. Lacing her fingers together in a cold but pleasant voice.
"Kolic has been trying to "save this federation from itself" since he joined, sometimes at times even at the cost of his dear moral values. Was he ever really trying to save the Globalverse, or just mold it in his image, just like the Crusaders of old. Now that he realizes that its never going to happen he has decided to destroy the thing he couldn't change. Claiming the role of the lone hero that nobody would help. The fact is that people are fighting to keep the Globalverse alive, just not in the way Kolic wanted them to. It was only a matter of time before Kolic showed his darker colors."
"The Globalverse's only hero was never a hero, he has always been a Crusader. I could almost be proud of him for coming out the closet as it were, if he hadn't screwed us over."
She takes a moment to stare directly into the camera, and for a moment you could see the fury blazing within. She was far from, and no where near being above his actions.
"That was his mistake, and he will pay for it."
A small mocking grin twist the corner if her mouth.
"He can't even fully own up to that, I guess old habits die hard."
She pauses for a moment to allow her words to sink in. The sound of crickets fills the night with the park's version of white noise.
"Well enough of that USELESS subject, lets move on to the useless group. I've got to say boys even after that beat down I just still can't take you seriously. I'm honestly more furious at what's his face shit for balls than I am with you. It's not like you put much effort in it after all."
She holds her hand to her mouth as in an opps gesture.
"Was that your best effort? How embarrassing. I guess you'll just have to try hitting a little harder. I would honestly be more embarrassed that Kolic is calling your shots than the fact that you hit like a girl, but then I guess you're a bitch either way."
Her tone may be pleasant, but her mocking smile is firmly in place.
"Have I hit a nerve yet? Don't worry if I haven't I'll get there eventually."
She shifts in her chair to get comfortable on the park bench as if to make good on her word.
"I guess I could properly address you and hype our match, but really whats the point when both of us only care about the same thing. Causing eachother as much pain and damage as possible before the end of the match, and possibly after as well."
She chuckles slightly as she relaxes, and the amusement in that laugh is clear.
"I'm sure my partner will fight a nice clean match with victory as his goal, but I'm a different matter. There are no rules when it comes to fighting you, because you have already broken them. So when you go into the ring with me expect to bleed. Your suffering is my goal, and be warned if you put your goddamn red noses where they don't belong I'll light your asses up like a cattle prod powered Christmas tree."
"I could go on but honestly you aren't worth the air you take up. You are no real threat, despite what you and Kolic may think. You're just a bunch of clowns with a bad gimmick, and you will not be the end of GZW anymore than Kolic will be. You'll just fizzle out, dry up, and scatter like dust on the wind. Until that happens I'll just endeavor to speed up the process."
"Enough wasted air we're moving onto the next joke. Amanda, how are you doing dear? How is your new mouthpiece working out for you? It must be working out well enough because I'm talking to you. A word of advice. Sometimes demanding attention will get you more attention than you can handle. So perhaps you should be more careful about what you mouthpiece claims you deserve. In all honesty right now the only thing you have managed to prove is that you are a useless wrestler with an even more useless title. You have yet to prove anything beyond that, and I think you will find yourself hard pressed to convince anyone, even yourself, that I'm wrong. So if you want to be acknowledged for being otherwise...prove it."
Munin stands to brush off her pants.
"Final words of advice kiddies things are seldom what they seem."
With those last words the night time suddenly turns to day, and with a grin Munin walks out of camera sight. Leaving the sunshine park to flicker off to a green screen.
