When some chump from an internet site approached me to write a tribute about Maxx Pain I was immediately sceptical! I don’t have a good word to say about him, so why would they want my opinions on their website? The guy informed me that it was a site about every aspect of Maxx Pain, including the negative. So I thought, what the hell? I’ve got a hell of a lot of negative to get off my chest about Maxx Pain, and there’s nothing wrong with a nice bit of exposure on a website that’s supposed to be for Maxx Pain!
Looking over the last year that I have spent in GZW with Maxx Pain, there’ve been some bad times, and some bad times. Maxx and I have never seen eye to eye, and never will: I believe in what’s just a right; Maxx believes in taking what he can get for himself and screw everyone else. When he first came into GZW, I saw Maxx as a joke and no real threat and ignored him… that was a mistake! Maxx became a part of the team that worked to get me suspended from GZW for two months. Subsequently he was turned upon by those same people, and ‘palled up’ with my friend Basildon. Baz worked with Maxx, trying to calm his rage, and they even formed a tag team. But Maxx betrayed Baz, and went back to his evil ways. Not long after ‘Pride’, the stable in which Maxx found a true home and learnt how to truly dominate, was formed. To cut a long story short, Maxx used Pride to get the push he needed to get at the heavyweight champion: me. Since then, he and his Pride buddies have been hounding me and claiming cheap victories by double, triple and quadruple teaming me. And at 7ft and over 300lbs, you’d have thought Maxx would have been able to look after himself.
What can I say about Maxx Pain that hasn’t already been said? Ignorant, arrogant, irritating, vicious, cruel, shallow, adulterous, vindictive, self-serving, selfish, mean, nasty, obnoxious, violent, hateful, bullying… The list goes on, and I don’t think the guy will have enough space on his website if I carry on like this!
If I must make some sort of balanced comments, Maxx Pain is one hell of a huge and dominating guy. When he hits you, boy do you know you’ve been hit! He is also one of the most skilled big men I have wrestled over the years: no-one does a high impact powerbomb (he calls it the CareerEnder) like Maxx Pain. Also, I guess, the guy knows what he wants and goes for it, that’s relatively admirable, even if his methods aren’t.
As much as I loathe him, and think he deserves nothing, Maxx is a talented wrestler who will probably go far in this business. It’s just a shame that he had to use underhand methods and be such a nasty bastard, because he could do it fairly and get the cheers of the crowds if he put his mind to it.
