Our Philosophy GZW2K1 was founded in 2001 by members of the recently defunct EWO e-federation, and has been in existence for almost the entirety of that period. To put that in perspective, we’re older than TNA (sorry, Impact Wrestling) and our Ring of Honor Hall of Fame predates the Ring of Honor wrestling company! Or to put it another way, we've lasted longer than WCW.
The federation has lasted this long because of the input of our members, and their contribution to an ongoing story that has lasted for over a decade. We are an angle and story based federation; the emphasis is on competition between the characters, not the handlers. Specifically, the challenge we set our competitors is not necessarily to win the match of the week by churning out role-plays, but to co-operate with each-other and find ways to push the angle.
There are many ways this can be done. Post a role-play (either solo or with another handler), cut a promo on a Crimson broadcast, do an interview for Hotwire magazine, or write a dark match at a house show and do your talking in the ring. We do not impose word counts or RP quotas, we ask only that someone contribute something to every show in support of their angle.
We do not guarantee immediate success; no amount of rps or promos guarantees a victory in an individual match. However, losing one match does not mean you will not be pushed. In this federation, losses and run-ins are every bit as important as wins for building heat and interest in feuds and angles. Struggle builds character.
And… as with real world wrestling federations, those that pay their dues and make their characters, angles, rivalries and stories interesting and engaging rise to the top, the GZW2K1 World Heavyweight Championship.
It is for that reason that each GZW2K1 show begins with the words “earned, not given”; every character to hold our top title has earned the right to do so. If you believe that you have what it takes to join them, we offer a relaxed atmosphere which has created dozens of real-life friendships, a role-play/promo schedule to fit your real life commitments, and the chance to be a part of an e-federation with a history that we believe rivals any real-world federation.
Push the angle. Tell your story.

We've got a few new people coming in the door. Just thought I'd repeat some advice I was given many many moons ago! Anyone can add to this.
1. We're not an RP fed but RPs are the best way to push your story and angle, so get on that board!
2. Characters who have a presence on shows above and beyond the matches they are booked on are more likely to get noticed. Whether it's a backstage interview, a confrontation, or just warming up, send those on-cards to Tate before the show.
3. Don't wait for your opponent to reply, we wanna see what your characters are all about. You worry about yourself!
4. Anyone can write for Hotwire. This is another great way to set up your character.
5. The best characters get pushed, so impress us! The squeaky wheel gets oil!
6. If you've got an idea for a storyline don't keep it to yourself! Talk to Tate!
7. If it involves another character, get in touch with that handler and talk it out. Some of the best parts of The Saga have come from multiple handlers working together to tell a great story.
8. If you fancy a bash at match writing stick your hand up!
9. Have fun! Join in OOC discussions, post funny gifs, make fun of Billy's hair or my lack of it. We're a family! A dysfunctional weird one run by an evil Yoda but a family nonetheless.

To add to that, the easiest way to communicate here is not just through the boards but Skype as most handlers are on there. Many a great collaboration has taken place over such messenger services.

Interviews can be a great way to push feuds in ways the usual "battle" promos cannot. While there are a range of on site backstage interviewers for the shows, for something out of hours there is a radio show interview with Marcellus Jackson. It's open to anyone, new or old and there is no limit to how many times they can appear. For that, just PM me.
When sending show skits/segments to Tate, the best way is either via PM or emailing a Word .doc file. .doc is preferable as his laptop is as old as he is. (Jk sir )

Wow, there have been 27 champions. For some reason, I thought there were more. Nice touch with the pics though.
For the benefit of new people, it took me 6 years to get Raze to the top, but that doesn't mean you will. Some did it in more time, but most got there faster. Just roll with it. I did and it gave me a chance to go really 'out there', so just go for it, stick in there and you'll make it.
I think patience is a big part of it, looking back.
Edit: there have been 28. You missed John Champa.
