COUNTDOWN TO WAR - 4 DAY WARNING
Globalstars take aim as event preparations near completion.
As the staging crews move out of Greenwich's O2 Arena and the Globalstars move in. As he departed, one of the stagehands said to GZG online "It's an ambitious stage for a special event. Fans in attendance can have some great surprises."
Meanwhile, rivalries continue to burn on. The Mongrel and Mickey Tourette will collide once more, but this time in a straight forward wrestling match. Will Mickey be able to make it three for three or can Mongrel finally turn the tide?
Elsewhere, Alex Cross will defend the TV title against the rapidly rising Stephon Davis. Fresh from strong wins over Renan Carvello and Dante Mephisto, Davis is looking to capture his first piece of gold outside of the Trax.
And of course, the clash of the titans draws ever closer Ring of Honor Icon Lord Jon Kellar and Grand Slam winning World Champion Sean Locke are pulling no punches.
Locke has accused Icon Lord Kellar of hypocrisy, preaching Honor while resorting to underhand tactics at Crimson. He claims that Kellar's talk is masking an unspoken fear; that Kellar has realised too late that he has underestimated the champion and is now trying to compensate.
Icon Lord Kellar continues to repeat the rhetoric that this fight is about him and GZW2K1's tumultuous relationship, and that Locke is merely an obstacle to be overcome. The underhanded tactics are re-enacting various "crimes" that the Company has committed against him in the past. Kellar refutes any suggestion that he is afraid, reminding Locke that during his last reign it took Icons and an army to put him down.
A GZGOnline poll places Kellar as favourite, but a separate fan poll has Sean Locke in a comfortable lead, and with Kellar threatening to walk away with the GZW2K1 World Championship as a last act of spite, such a close call is unlikely to be giving anyone at GZW2K1 Command Suite a good nights sleep!
