Who's Hot Nothing is no more hotter than the name of Fortune right now, especially Eric "Kombat" Fortune. This man has catapulted his status in less than six months from the man who lost to Celestia "Mooncat" L'yark to the man who headlines GZW television shows. From coming out of the closet of being a Fortune to a brilliant third place showing in the 25 man pinfall or submission battle royale to crusading against the upstarts known as Pride,Kombat's career is on a meteoric rise.Add the growing unity of the fan favorites on the GZW roster,Kombat looks to be in good company. It seems with the formation of Pride,Maxx Pain has finally found his niche within the GZW world. With the sudden removal of Deacon Kane,Maxx is teetering on the threshold of becoming the number one big man heel in the company.Capturing the popular Television Championship for the second time in his career,Maxx is poised to finally live up to the potential that many felt he always possessed.Seems as if this man can't cool off."Smooth Operator" Billy Bond culminated 2001 with a victory over Deacon Kane to capture the GZW Heavyweight Champion.Much like how he ended the old year,Bond picked up where he left off. With a clean decisive win over Deacon Kane in "The Rematch",Bond's star can't get any brighter. With the year just now starting to kick into third gear,Bond looks to reach greater heights than even he could imagine.

Who's Not "El Gambit" Santiago DeTouwce.Once such a threat in both the Television AND LightHeavyweight division, the man who dubs himself "The Lone Wolf" looks to be just that. After a demoralizing LightHeavyweight Championship loss to Justin Sharp,El Gambit was clearly not at top forming when he later dropped the Television Championship to Maxx Pain. Can the Hong Kong Wrestling Federation LightHeavyweight Extreme madman bounce back?Only a cosh blow and revenge against whomever holds the LightHeavyweight Championship title will tell.Seems like a growing trend in GZW but past HKWF stars are on the serious burnout. What in the world ever happen to "The Wrestling Franchise" Monarch?Having dropped his HKWF World Heavyweight Title months ago to his former mentor and longtime enemy,Sebastian Covenant,Monarch has been on a downward spiral.Shame to see a wrestling legend struggle with his career after the lost of 15 pounds of gold strapped to a leather belt.Another HKWF legend.Another HKWF legend loses a title.Another HKWF legend loses a title and loses the competitive desire."The Downfall" Rebellion burst onto the GZW by decimating the Extreme division.Showing the flair of Ring of Honor legend,"Last Man Standing" Cravin Morehead,Rebellion was sitting pretty upon the pedestal as the Lord of Extreme in GZW.After being stripped of the title,Rebellion has done nothing but floundered aimlessly about looking to once again make the explosive impact he had only months before.
