Dwight Carlyle
Real Name: Dwight Edward Carlyle
Birthdate: 8/12/1972
Hometown: Blackpool, England
Height: 6'1
Weight: 165 lbs.
Alignment: Face
Entrance Music: "Man in the Box" by Alice in Chains
Wrestling Style: One very important quality is that he's very familiar with every single inch of the ring and knows his way around by heart. If he ends up getting lost in his placing, he'll find a turnbuckle and immediately be back on track. He mainly uses his great sense of sound to determine how close an opponent is, how fast they're coming at him, etc. It's hard to sneak up on him as his hearing is extremely sensitive. Then he uses the sense of touch in order to hit certain areas on his opponent. While he may be blind, he can still put together a string of moves based off of memory when he did have sight. Even moves that require sight to hit, he manages to pull through with those. He's very quick and knows how to escape troubling situations with ease, which can be very frustrating to opponents. He relies on keeping his opponents grounded with submissions, because the less they move, the more he knows where they are.
Strengths: Very sensitive hearing. Great knowledge of the ring. Doesn't let his lack of sight bring him down. Stays on the attack/very relentless.
Weaknesses: He's blind. Loud audience could drown out his concentration on opponent's footsteps/movements. Can easily mistake people in the ring (referees, partners, etc.)
Finishers:
On light opponents:
The Pinwheel - Backdrop to DDT
(Specific description: Carlyle will set up for a backdrop. Sometimes, if the opponent is down, he feel by their head to see if they're face down or up, and he'll lift them up according to this. Other times, it all depends on guessing. The move itself starts off as a backdrop, but he keeps a hand on the side of the opponent's head to know where their head is as he flips them back. Once he lifts them up, he flips them completely over his shoulder [think of a moonsault] and as they fall to their stomach, Dwight immediately twists around with them, wraps his arm around their head and connects with a devastating DDT, especially considering that sometimes the opponent will take an awkward flip backwards.)
On heavy opponents (but can be used all):
Self Destruct - Headbutt KO
(Specific description: With the opponent down [see set up for this move], Dwight will mount over them and feel near their head to determined whether they're face up or down. If face down, he'll turn them over. Once face up, he will wrap his hands under the opponent's head, interlacing his fingers to make sure he has a good grip. Then, he'll very forcefully pull the opponent's head towards his own head, which he lunges towards theirs. This causes a hard collision of their heads, but Dwight makes his placement on the opponent's perfect for a knockout blow. After the very hard headbutt, he will most times end up collapsing right on top of the opponent in a pin, due to knocking himself out in the process or coming very close to that.)
Setup: Leaping Superkick - Mid-air Superkick
(Specific description: With opponent running at him, Dwight will leap up into the air and surprise the opponent with a superkick. While he can't aim for the chin or head, he usually connects in the general area. Anywhere from the upper chest to the forehead.)
