WWE and Lionsgate have set April 27th, 2007 as the release date for WWE's next film, The Condemned, starring Steve Austin. The plan is to promote the film heavily alongside WrestleMania 23.
Here is IMDB's synopsis for the film.
"'The Condemned' tells the story of Joe Conrad (Stone Cold Steve Austin), who is awaiting the death penalty in a corrupt Central American prison. He is 'purchased' by a wealthy television producer and taken to a desolate island where he must fight to the death against nine other condemned killers from all corners of the world, with freedom going to the sole survivor."

it worked for Arnold in "The Running Man"...even though it was a film that Stephen King takes no credit for...

Sounds rather unoriginal: running man with a smattering of Battle Royale anybody?
Even so, I'll probably go and see it.
FYI, See No Evil is straight to video in the UK.

I think it sounds cool.... it's a better storyline than the last two... with a far... far... FAR better superstar headlining...

Didn't say it didn't look fun - it just lack originality. Look at Supernatural - amazing programme but absolutely no originality at all.

Well let's hope Steve has no real dialogue. He has no mic skill and sucked at acting in the WWE...
