Thanks to 411 reader John Slattery for sending these along.
Dark Match:
Vito d. Jamie Noble with his under the dress arm bar. Crowd surprisingly into Vito.
Smackdown:
- No opening pyro. King Booker and Queen Sharmell make their way to the ring to celebrate Booker's victory at Cyber Sunday. Theodore Long soon follows with two photographers. He tells Booker that he wants to get some pictures of the champion of champions. After dismissing the photographers, Long tells Booker that since Batista did him a favor, he was going to return the favor by giving Batista an opportunity at the World Championship at Survivor Series. He then told Booker that Booker would defend the title right then and there against Bobby Lashley.
- King Booker d. Bobby Lashley by tights assisted rollup. The match was what you would expect. Lashley hit hard, Booker tried to outsmart him.
- In the back, Montel Vontavious Porter walked into Theodore Long's office to complain about the tag team match last week. He told Long that he had been in easier street fights than that match.Long told MVP that next week, he would be in a street fight against Kane.
- Also in the back, Chris Benoit runs into Chavo and Vickie Guerrero. Benoit tries to find out what is going on between the two of them. Benoit mentions something about Eddie's estate, and Vickie flps out. Chavo tells Benoit that he is going to take the United States championship at Survivor Series.
- Matt Hardy and Jimmy Wang Yang d. Gregory Helms and Sylvan when Hardy hit a top rope Twist of Fate on Helms. Yang had a LONG heat sequence on him. Crowd was not into the heels at all.
- Mr. Kennedy came out to challenge the Undertaker at Survivor Series. Undertaker came out (which took forever), and the two brawled, with Kennedy beating down Undertaker with his retro microphone. They left the sound on during this, which made it sound like Undertaker was taking some serious shots. Undertaker left bloodied, but still did the situp.
- Chris Benoit d. K.C. James with the Crippler Crossface. Nothing special; Michelle McCool got more of a pop than the incredibly bland James.
- A Boogeyman promo aired.
- Boogeyman d. T.J. Dalton with a two handed choke bomb. Boogeyman's entrance took longer than the match. After the match, Boogeyman spit worms into Dalton's mouth.
- In the back, Kristal was complaining to the Miz about the Boogeyman and Miz's actions last week. Miz continually interrupted her and told her that he would challenge the Boogeyman next week.
- Main Event: Batista d. Finlay via the spinebuster. Batista was far and away the most over person on Smackdown this evening. Batista took an early advantage, but was tripped up by the Little Bastard trying to re-enter the ring. Finlay then worked the knee of Batista before the comeback. Finlay blocked the Batista Bomb by clipping the knee. King Booker ran out to distract Batista, but ended up getting taken out accidentally by Finlay. Batista then hit the spinebuster to win. After the match, Batista sold the knee injury while staring down Booker.
After the cameras went off for Smackdown, Little Bastard chased down and beat up Tony Chimel. JBL tried to restrain the Little Bastard until he was finally run off by Finlay.
Raw Notes:
- Not sure how it came across on TV, but the crowd was surprisingly dead most of the night. The only major pops were for Cena, Carlito, and DX. Crowd went nuts when Cena came out and when he FU'd Grisham.
- They need to pull the plug on the Eugene character, as the crowd could have cared less when he turned on Hacksaw Jim Duggan. People were more enthralled with Cindy Margolis, who was being led to her seat at the time.
- After Raw went off the air, DX invited some fans into the ring to dance with Big Dick Johnson. Triple H was hysterical shaking his own groove thing. HBK looked like he'd rather be anywhere but there.
