It’s been reported over the last day that Chris Masters was possibly headed to ECW, we have an update on this story for you. It was made very clear that Masters was doomed when his masterlock was broken at the Christmas show this past Monday. The masterlock was Masters gimmick for the past two years. He’s said to be the geek of the week on RAW with several big names backstage, HHH and Edge, crushing him to the McMahon’s and Brian Gewirtz. Triple H has made fun of him on TV for losing 50 pounds, it appears as if it continues backstage as well. David Lagana, as a result of this, is pushing for him to be moved to ECW. Everyone believes he has potential but a move to ECW would fit him better with the younger crowd. Masters won’t be getting ribbed on a daily basis in ECW with the younger guys. Maybe if he didn't take steriods, he wouldn't be ridiculed. Serves the douchebag right, keep him on Raw. Last thing ECW needs is Masters. ZZZZZZZZZZ...

Is it me or does everyone else realize that Ecw is now being used as a haven for SD/Raw rejects

Well, technically no lol but after so many stars have had to look terrible to put this shit over...I just want to know who had the "honour" of breaking it really.

IMO it was dumb to have a member of the Military to break the Lock...I would have used that to push some younger talent...But I guess it's a publicity stunt by the WWE to play the Sympathetic role and have a Member of the Armed Forces to break the hold.....No disrespect to the members but come on....thats going a bit overboard isn't it.

As previously reported, writer Dave Lagana is pushing for Chris Masters to be moved to ECW. Masters seems to be doomed on RAW for a number of reasons, especially considering that a 145-pound man broke the Masterlock at the "Tribute to the Troops" show after nearly two years of it being Masters' gimmick. He's currently the "geek of the week" on the RAW brand as Triple H and Edge are constantly burying him to writer Brian Gewirtz and the McMahons. Furthermore, the stuff you occasionally see on TV in which he is made fun of (such as Triple H insulting him for losing 50 pounds), the same stuff happens backstage as well. There is a belief that he has potential and that he would be a better fit in the ECW locker room because he's a young guy and it's a young guy locker room. Futhermore, there wouldn't be any big stars there to rib him.
Writer Dave Lagana wants Gene Snitsky to be moved over from RAW to ECW. In recent producer meetings, Arn Anderson and Finlay have been pushing for Snitsky to get a bigger role in the company. However, the problem is that it would make ECW look more and more like a place for RAW and SmackDown rejects. Snitsky has appeared sparingly on RAW since Goldust's release back in June.

also to add to Nate and Ish about the breakin' of the Master Lock:
On the December 4, 2006 episode of RAW, Jonathan Coachman set up a Master Lock Challenge against John Cena for the WWE Championship. Masters appeared to have had the contest won, however he released the hold for a short time, allowing Cena to reverse the hold into his own Master Lock, forcing Masters to submit to his own signature move, retaining his title and making Cena the first to win the Master Lock Challenge. No Superstar as of yet has broken the Masterlock under his own power.
On Christmas 2006 on "Tribute to the Troops", a United States Army Soldier, Staff Sergeant Jose Avila would break free from The Master Lock with help from Santa Claus (JBL). Though he could be considered the first person to break the hold, he did not do it under his own power JBL gave a boot to the back of Masters' butt allowing Avila to break the hold.

I broke the Masterlock.
Of course, Masters quit using steroids, and I just started, so maybe that has something to do with it.
Yeah, I have nothing useful to contribute. Sorry.
