Nicked this from another site I visit...you Evil Empire fans should be interested with this...
We all know the basic stats, like longevity record, most elimination, most apperances and all that.
We know that 27 is the most common winning entry number, and that 30 never wins.
But check this out. In 1992 Ric Flair won with entry #3, Shawn with #1 in 1995, Austin with #5 in 1997, Vince with #2 in 1999, Chris Benoit with #1 in 2004 and Rey Mysterio with #2 in 2006. That is 6 people to draw numbers 1 through 5 and win the thing. That is 1/3 of the total 30 man rumbles!
Now, add in Bob Backlund drawing #2 in 1993, Steve Austin getting #1 in 1999 and Chris Benoit getting #1 in 2005, that is 9 out of 18 rumbles where a number 1-5 has been there at the end. There was also the British Bulldog in 1995, and Triple H in 2006, but the winner of those rumbles was their other starter.
This makes 6 people (Backlund, Shawn, Ausin, Vince, Benoit x2, Rey and Triple H) having surivied from the start to the last entrant.
Nobody to draw numbers 6 though 17 have ever won. Shawn Micheal won at #18 in 1996, the next lowest is #22 by Triple H in 2002.
The Big Show is the only person to be the last man eliminated twice, in 2000 against The Rock and 2005 against Chris Benoit.
The British Bulldog, Ted Dibiase, Shawn Micheals and Chris Benoit have all drawn #1 or #2 twice. With Benoit doing it twice in a row. The Undertaker has drawn #30 twice, and is the only one.
Koko B. Ware in 1990, Ted Dibiase in 1992 and Shawn Micheals in 2003 have all drawn #1 or #2 and get tossed before #3 entered.
Dino Bravo in 1991, Papa Shango in 1993, Fake Razor in 1997, Tom Brandi in 1998, Golga in 1999, Mosh in 2000, Bull Buchanan in 2001 and Simon Dean in 2006 have all drawn #3 and been eliminated before next entrant. The interesting thing about this, is they did it 5 years in a row.
1996 had the longest time from start until the first elimination. Nine people entered before anyone got eliminated. The next highest is in 1995 where 6 people entered before the 1st elimination.
Despite going from #3 to win in 1992, Ric Flair only eliminated 4 people, from the 15th entrant on, Ric eliminated nobody except Sid to win.
In 2005, despite going from #1 to the final 6, Chris Benoit did not eliminate anyone! (Muhammad Hassan could count, but 8 people eliminated him)
