Spike TV has let TNA know in a round about way that they have the 2 hour slot for Impact. But there is one condition, they need to upgrade the studio with HD equipment. Spike TV will be upgrading to HD broadcasting by 2009.
At the moment TNA are trying not to spend any extra money and are putting up resistance to the condition in hope that Spike TV might pay for the upgrade. Spike have given them money before to help bring in Sting but must be skeptical about giving them more since ratings have been the same for ages.
This seems to be a small roadblock that should be overcome. We'll keep you posted.

Well maybe they could afford upgrading the set if they weren't paying Pacman Jones $25,000 dollars per appearance... But two hours "could" help TNA, but it's one of those big if questions, as they need to start changing their focus to the actual product and not just one man who hasn't really boosted ratings at all, that being Kurt Angle.
