Ric Flair quit WWE this week over frustration with his push and a lack of any encouraging communication from the front office.
There are now discussions to try to talk him into cooling off and agreeing to not quit.
His situation doesn't appear to be at all related to the suspensions, although he's now more valuable with some names being gone for a month.
If things don't work out, it's not beyond the realm of possibility that Flair could be offered a sweet and tempting deal to be part of TNA's two hour launch. TNA is interested and aware of the situation.

WOOOOOOOO!
Flair would do wonders for TNA. Sting vs Flair anyone? Id like to see them go at it again.

Id rather have the leftovers instead of having to cut my own legs off...which is what Vince seems to be doing lately based on the extreme lack of direction for the company.

if he went to TNA (please don't) they should immediately set about formin' a new "Four Horsemen" with Flair in the manager role...of course they couldn't use the stable name since WWE has it but they should definitely run with Flair and a stable...instant money...

There'll soon be a stigma attached for WWE stars heading right for TNA lol.
But I'd prefer to see him take leave as an active wrestler after WWE. I don't really see the point to watching the way that man takes those bumps anymore. His presence and mic work is more than plenty to push an angle or stable he'd be a part of.

Well i'd hate to see Flair leave the WWE, but if he signed for TNA then i still get to watch him. I was a huge Flair fan when he was in WCW, still am to be honest. And right now i'm not surprised at him wanting to leave, but i can't however see him wanting this push that he wants. But if he leaves and joins TNA then the work load would suit i think they still use the same system of; 2 nights tapings, 1 night ppv. That would probably suit Flair, and plus he wouldn't have to wrestle week in, week out. And i'm sure with Flair going, if he does, then TNA would almost certainly get two hours...but then again TNA have done this before signing past big names and it's made barely any difference in ratings... Still i'd lke to see Flair/Angle, Flair/Sting matches again would be awesome. But right now i'd struggle to see him going there if he quit WWE, unless there is a reason behind him wanting out and that is to go to TNA were they will make the show revolve around him aka Angle, aka Christian, aka Jarrett before him...etc...

I hope he retires. He's not a believable wrestler nowadays. I could probably knock him out.

He has one of the stiffest punches in the game when he wants to use it. Remember Flair is old school....and old school means he will pop you in the nose for real for disrespecting him. WOOOOOOOOOOO! Flair did an AWESOME job in that match Billy. No one here can deny that fact. He came in at number 3 and took it too everyone the whole Rumble with the exception of a few minutes of rest. Flair is the man IMO. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Flair just needs to take a breather from the in ring part of wrestling for the rest of his life....but I really hope he does not go to TNA because if he does then it will be pointless, I mean the WWE has already gotten all they can out of him, and at TNA's pace Flair won't make it...he will be just like the rest, he will be in the main event spot for a few weeks then he will disappear....
I sincerely hope he does not make that move to TNA.....and you speak of lack of direction on WWE's part, what about the Lack of Direction on TNA's part, at least WWE knows how to keep a feud going with at least half their roster, in TNA feuds change week in and week out and usually they are pointless.

Tom sent the following: Ric Flair was on local sports talk show Prime Time with The Packman this morning on WFNZ here in Charlotte. He said he will be opening a new business in Charlotte this week called Ric Flair Finance. Flair talked a little bit of football before the host asked him if he really quit WWE. Flair kinda laughed at it and said "No, it's not true." and asked what WWE would do without him. He didn't seem too sure of himself but he said he would talk more about everything next week on the same show.

RIC FLAIR ON QUITTING WWE: 'IT'S NOT TRUE' by Mike Johnson @ 7:27:07 PM on 9/9/2007
Ric Flair publicly denied "quitting" World Wrestling Entertainment while appearing on the syndicated radio show "Primetime with the Packman" this past Friday.
Flair, who had called in to discuss a recent college football win by Appalachian State, was asked about whether he had quit the company and responded, "It's not true. What would WWE do without me?" and began laughing.
Flair plugged the "Ric Flair Finance" company that he is in the process of setting up in the Charlotte area with several partners and promised he would discuss the WWE situation later this week when he would be in studio as a co-host for the show.
As noted last week here on the site, there have been some disagreements between Flair and WWE over how he's been presented by the company, but the two sides have been speaking amicably towards a resolution. Flair remains under a current WWE contract.
