Expect to see some more women receive regular roles in TNA. It looks like they have something for former WWE Diva Shelly "Ariel" Martinez already as she may have appeared on Impact last night. During a tag team match last night, Roxxi Laveaux came in the ring to distract Homicide by spitting a mist into his face. Moments later a small person affiliated with LAX wearing padding from the excessive clothing, sunglasses and so forth, evened up the odds by giving a weapon to Hernandez to pick up the win. Apparently that was Shelly Martinez under all that clothing.
Indy women's wrestler Rain, who is a regular in the SHIMMER promotion, appears to be teasing an on screen relationship with Robert Roode. She is the planted fan that keeps holding pro-Roode signs during his matches.
The main event for TNA Genesis will be Sting and a mystery partner vs. TNA Champion Kurt Angle and Kevin Nash. They're teasing the mystery partner as someone who has held a World title in every company he's ever worked for. Also, the World Title is on the line in this match. TNA Genesis takes place in a little over two weeks on 11/11.
D-Lo Brown will be working as an agent backstage at next week's Impact tapings. It was supposed to be a tryout, but TNA's Mobile service sent out a memo yesterday stating that D-Lo Brown has signed a contract with TNA.
One source is saying that the morale among the TNA wrestlers is actually worse now than when Impact was just an hour long. Even though the show is two hours, some wrestlers get flown to the tapings and don't work at all because there's no room. When they ask about why they're not being used, they're told that there are now over fifty wrestlers under contract and they have to make sure that everyone gets used regularly & gets their fair share of television time, so well, that inevitably leaves some guys off the show. There are also some complaints from the guys regarding the women's division because it takes away television time that can be devoted to them instead, at least from those individuals who fly in for the taping and end up sitting around doing nothing.
A few weeks ago, agent Terry Taylor told a bunch of TNA that if they wanted a release from the company, they could have it. One wrestler who has asked for a release in the past said that he definitely had not gotten the offer. Although, when push came to shove, they wouldn't offer releases to most people because they knew that most of those guys had potential and they don't want them to become stars elsewhere. At least a few of the X Division wrestlers didn't get the offers, and they were largely the ones who wanted out.
Judas Mesias returned to action last week in Mexico. However, he can hardly do a thing in the ring because he's too hurt. He fell off a ladder at AAA's Verano de Escandalo show last month. Mesias hasn't been mentioned on Impact since his last appearance. TNA President Dixie Carter recently stated that he's out "indefinitely."
