We can now confirm that Carlito has indeed given his notice to WWE management. Unless things change he will be departing the company next month. We don’t have the specifics of his contract terms, but it is suspected that WWE will allow him to work anywhere except TNA until his deal has officially expired. - Wrestling Observer

Yes! Commence the happy dance. I really couldn't have been the only person on the planet who thought his gimmick was lame and his spitting habit disgusting.

I thought the spitting thing was too much because it's so disrespectful but I liked him

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that WWE is trying to keep Carlito from leaving. As we previously reported, Carlito gave his notice weeks ago, but WWE is trying to avoid another pushed superstar from jumping to TNA. Carlito is quite familiar with TNA booker Dutch Mantel from their days together in Puerto Rico. At this point, Carlito is said to be leaning toward leaving.

He might as well leave. IC Champ is the best he'll do there, WWE aren't ever going to take him seriously. At least I can't see that ever happening

To be honest, I see him just going back to Puerto Rico, where his dad was a big name. He'll be taken more seriously there
