Wow.
Seriously the worst thing I'd expect from this PPV and it happened.
Well, Edge is still Champion, so I guess that's good. But go figure Cena has to come back just in time for Mania. Eh. Raw goes to the shitter again.

I fucking hate John Cena will a passion, but I just won $100 bucks because of him. We had a party tonight, 50 inch Plasma TV, Royal Rumble in high def and plenty of booze. First time I have drank in well over a month. lol Basically the pool was six people with a $20 entry fee. We got to draw 5 names with mine being Big Daddy V, The Great Khali, Chuck Palumbo, Hornswaggle and Mystery Entrant number 5. Cena was my number 5 and while I fucking hate his gut, I love his dirty bet money going into my pocket. However, I would gladly pay 100 bucks to see him gone until after Mania.

I see this as their opportunity to get it right though. If they hand him this title back right away, then it would just be silly. Time to take his invincibility off.
Having said that, would he really be the first to come back after injury and win the Rumble? lol...Will they let him do a HHH and give him the title at WM too, if I remember correctly?

yea, I know he will get his title back at WM....thats the only part that I hate. I believe there's been only one person, HBK back in 95, that won the RR and did not win the title at WM....someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I am predicting t's HHH vs. Cena at WM and I am saying right now that WWE will run one of their best build ups in ages for this match. It's literally going to show who has the most stroke in the WWE lol.

I don't want to see another 3H vs Cena at WM......hell I don't even want to see Cena. But the Elimination Chamber match is schedule for No Way Out, I bet Batista wins that match and goes on to face Edge at Mania.

The only thing good about the show was Maria and the Kiss cam, she floats my boat - her voice especially. Her on playboy would be amazing, though I wouldn't buy it because it works on a sexist principle

Well, here's that exciting review I promised. Spoilers...
Ric Flair vs. MVP: Retirement Match It was a decent opener. I've never seen MVP before but I quite like him from this match. I love Flair. Flair's 'emotional' mic ramblings were cut-off by MVP's entrance music. It was pretty standard stuff. All I really remember is some stiff kicks from MVP to Flair's head. Flair hit his figure four for the win. Kept me happy, I guess. WHOOOOOO!!
Vince, Hornswoggle Backstage I usually love Vince but I really can't stand that little... thing son of his. They spoke about the rumble. Finlay entered and spoke about the rumble. They all spoke about the rumble. It was a bit shite.
JBL vs. Chris Jericho It started off pretty boring - I don't rate JBL's in-ring ability. He screwed up a bulldog. Jericho went to hit the bulldog and JBL just sort of flopped to the floor in a rather odd fashion. Then things picked up, Jericho busted open pretty bad and things got a little brutal. Then Jericho hit a steel chair shot and... DING! DING! DING! - WHAT?! Jericho's been disqualified? But this one was just starting to get good!! Oh well. They killed what could have been a great, brutal match dead in its tracks. Maybe they're saving the big showdown for the next PPV. Jericho beat up JBL a little more after the match. The two had a good chemistry. You felt they had a real purpose for that match and really hated each other.
Maria's Kiss Cam Thing What?! This was the evening's light relief? Well, Maria's boyfriend guy was funny (can't remember his name but I like him). Some fat guy (who looked like a son of Jim Ross) got beat up with two rubber chickens by some blonde, crappy Lita rip-off. Whatever.
Rey Mysterio vs. Edge I hate Vicky Guerrero, she just annoys me for some reason. Edge, the heel, got cheered, and Rey - the face - got a lot of jeers. I'm not sure why this was the case, but it was an okay little match nonetheless. It all went downhill when that tramp widow interfered - you knew instantly Rey wasn't going to win. And he didn't. Vicky shielded Edge from a 619 and a remorseful Rey - too concerned for the health of uglyface, who had attempted to cost him the match - was too distracted WHILST LEAPING IN MID-AIR to notice Edge sneakily hitting him with the shittiest mid- air spear I've ever seen. Edge won. Match left a bad taste. Rey pulls off fancy moves but they hardly ever make sense. Case in point was that thing he tried to pull at the end of the match, which Edge transformed into a spear/half-arsed shoulder block. And why do Rey's opponents - whilst falling - always leap towards the middle rope and rest their chin on it? Christ...
Flair, Michaels, HHH, Batista backstage Now this... THIS is comedy gold! Not some kiss cam, fat people getting beat up with rubber chickens, or irish midgets. You take three genuinely intelligent personalities (and batista) and have them all chat to each other. Seemed very natural. Shawn Michaels is hilarious. Good stuff here.
Randy Orton vs. Jeff Hardy I like Jeff Hardy. In my opinion he seems far better than Kennedy. Well, I dislike Kennedy and think he's a bit generic. I wanted Hardy to win. He didn't, Orton retained. How come Cena gets so much abuse for pulling his finisher from out of nowhere, but Orton does it CONSTANTLY with he RKO and nobody ever complains? I always know when the RKO is coming about five seconds before he hits it, thus the ending to the match was no shock. Every Orton match I've seen ends this way - he suddenly hits his diamond cutter from nowhere. It was a nice match whilst it lasted. At least the ending was clean. Pity Orton won, though.
The Royal Rumble - They got Michael Buffer to be ring announcer. Very nice touch. He added some real class.
- Undertaker and HBK drawing numbers 1 and 2 was a nice surprise. Early on I got a feeling this was going to be one of the better Rumbles in recent years. Everything was going really well.
- Talk about great mystery entrants: Jimmy Snuka and then "THE HOT ROD" ROWDY RODDY PIPER!!! It was so nice to see Piper back after his cancer opertations. He's aged a lot. He and Snuka went at it in the middle of the ring, and all the other superstars - including the likes of Undertaker and HBK - seemed to look on in awe. It was a great little moment. Piper and Snuka then got promptly eliminated lol.
- People were entering the ring thick and fast. Seemed to go by real quick. Some of my favourite entrants in the middle of the pack included the likes of Mick Foley (in Cactus Jack attire), Kane and Umaga. There were boos all round amongst me and my friends when Batista entered. We all hate Generic Potato with a passion.
- HBK and Undertaker got eliminated at around about the entry 22 spot. It was a surprise - I expected them to make it to the end. Alas, Michaels ran away from Undertaker, who then proceeded to put Snitsky through a table.
- Finlay illegally entered the ring before his number was up, and was thus disqualified. It was briefly mentioned by JR. Dunno about Hornswoggle though, Rico. Technically he was never eliminated at all.
- Triple H drew number 29, and so I knew number 30 was going to be someone big. I just had that feeling! Names we suggested included: Hulk Hogan, Big Show, John Cena, Jeff Hardy, Vince McMahon, Dusty Rhodes. And the entrance music hit... fuck! Yes, it was John Cena. It was a huge surprise. I really didn't expect it. But when he hit that ring, there was only ever going to be one winner...
- I know I said yesterday I'd boak at Triple H winning. But the final three in this years' Rumble was Batista, Cena and HHH, so I was begging for HHH to win. How ironic!! Batitsa was soon eliminated - a reflief - and we were left with Cena and HHH. It was tense, extremely entertaining for all the wrong reasons, and eventually Cena won it. He celebrated and kept pointing to the WrestleMania logo up in the rafters. Knob-jockey.
All in all, it was a good little event. The Rumble was one of the best I've seen in recent years, although it was all spoiled by that ending. I wish Jeff beat Orton. I wish the Jericho/JBL match was allowed to continue. Alas.... it was just one of those 'almost' nights.

RKO > FU... Also, Trips should have won. Just watched No Mercy (rented it) tonight and it was definitely one of my favorite PPVs to date. Trips proved what a workhorse he was during that show. Thus, really should have won over "hand me everything" Cena. Ugh. Such a disappointment and one of many reasons why he's such shit. Also, Rico, plans are for Taker vs. Edge, from what I remember. I'd much rather see that then Batista vs. Edge.
