Anyone else watching it tonight? Getting a few friends and dominos pizzas round and hoping for a corking event! I'll be back with an exciting review soon. But for now...
- I hope Triple H doesn't win the Rumble. That would just be boring.
- I hope for old-skool pre-rumble promo packages.
- I hope I'm not too tired for work and college tomorrow. Pulling an all-nighter.

I'm suprised that the WWE didn't have a Chavo vs. CM Punk title match maybe they are planning on having CM Punk to win it...that would be a refresher, than the expected winners (HBK, Undertaker, Batista and 3H)

of the list, I expect either Undertaker, 3H, HBK, or Batista to win. Anyone else would definately be a suprise

Here's the card to go along with the above mentioned RR participants
World Heavyweight Championship Match - Edge (c) vs. Rey Mysterio
Career Threatening Match - U.S. Champion MVP vs. Ric Flair
- Chris Jericho vs. JBL
WWE Championship Match - Randy Orton (c) vs. Jeff Hardy
speaking of the WWE Title match, here's an interesting article that was just posted on rajah.com
Jeff Hardy has been gaining a ton of momentum the last few weeks. Instead of people seeing him as a stepping stone for Orton on the way to Triple H, you hear that a lot of people are saying that it's time for WWE to move him up. Although, if they do so, it would mess up long-term title plans they have involving Triple H.
As of last week -- and in WWE these days, things can change in an instant -- plans called for Orton to retain his title against Hardy in their match tonight at the Royal Rumble. Originally, Hardy had no chance of getting the title, but a number of people in power have been pushing for him to get the strap based on the strong buildup. Michael Hayes is Hardy's biggest advocate right now. Hayes has always pushed the Hardys, and earlier in their WWE careers he came out of retirement to be their manager. Hayes doesn't favor Hardy at all times though as he's said to be fair in evaluating him -- both good and bad -- but he feels that Hardy has proven himself enough to get the strap and he deserves to be rewarded with a title run. Hayes is pushing that the crowd reactions are telling WWE to finally pull the trigger.
However, there is at least one person in particular who is against a Jeff Hardy title run at the moment and that person is Stephanie McMahon. She doesn't want WWE to give Hardy the belt because she feels that it would force a change of plans. Stephanie has given her reasons for why Hardy should not get the strap, though some backstage are saying that it sounds like Triple H rhetoric.
also The two favorites to win tonight's Royal Rumble match are Undertaker -- the original pick -- and Triple H.

Ugh...Jeff Hardy world champion would be horrible. He is by no means ready whatsoever They should be pushing Kennedy way before Hardy. Although Kennedy is getting his way there with wins over the likes of Michaels etc

Kennedy is the one not ready for the World Championship. I used to think that he was ready, but IMO he's only had one good match with HBK, he's the one in no shape for a World title run.

Stephanie against a Hardy champ. I'm not surprised it's her who's against it. She'd be against Matt having it too and he still isn't getting his push. Whether Jeff is ready or not, that's up to him to show it. Hell, they gave Mysterio a chance and even Chavo has a top strap (granted it's the now raped ECW, but still...). Even if he doesn't do so well, I guarantee they've done worse.

I think he is one of the WWE's brighter stars that hasn't yet been pushed down our throats with talent to back it up. I'd have him win the Rumble Not to say he'd win the title at Wrestlemania but he has the look of a credible contender and eventual champion about him

my thinkin' is this...let Hardy win...let Hardy defeat Orton...let Hardy go on to face Hunter...let Hardy take the job in return for Hunter doin' it for him not too long ago...

As long as it isn't too soon. Don't want him to look like a transitional champion do you?
