TNA SERVED WITH LAWSUIT FROM FORMER WRESTLER by Mike Johnson @ 12:17 AM on 3/21/2008
PWInsider.com has confirmed with multiple TNA sources that former TNA performer Konnan has served the company with a lawsuit pertaining to his departure from the company and their treatment of him as he was dealing with several health issues, including a hip replacement. The company did lend Konnan money for the operation, which led to Konnan learning he needed a kidney transplant. Konnan later underwent the transplant procedure after a fan donated his kidney.
I don't have any further information on the lawsuit beyond the fact that sources confirm they were served recently. There was no additional information via our usual legal sources at this time.

Follow-up On Konnan's Lawsuit Against TNA - Names Mentioned, Drug Usage, More Submitted by Richard Gray on March 21, 2008 - 10:18am Posted In: News [Previous Article] - [Next Article] As Michael posted earlier here at Rajah.com, Konnan has served TNA Wrestling with lawsuit papers for racism and discrimination amongst other things.
Konnan is alleging that while the company said that they would help pay for his hip replacement surgery, they did not. To add leverage to the suit, Konnan claims that TNA helped pay for Scott Steiner's recent operation while not helping Ron Killings pay for his most recent surgery.
Chris Cash of the WrestleZone website spoke to Konnan who said that Jeff Jarrett, Dutch Mantel, Vince Russo, and Terry Taylor are all mentioned in the suit. Drug usage within the "higher ups" is also brought up in the lawsuit.
TNA has thirty days to respond to try and reach a settlement out of court.
