*GroundZero Wrestling 2K1 World Heavyweight Champion Ring of Honor Icon Sean "Magic" Fiery is believed to be at about seventy-five percent healthwise. Many are viewing his removal from the main event tag match at Sunday Storm as a good move for business and the longevity of Icon Fiery. The Desert Storm is tentatively scheduled to face 2006 Lord of the Coliseum Jon H. Kellar at Crimson pending Icon Fiery's arm passes a physical examination by GZW2K1 medical staff.
*The four Desert Storm Industries students that performed were very well received by GZW2K1 Executive Committee with Greg Wheeler's performance outshining the rest. Wheeler has been invited to attend classes at Trouble Trax.
*Talks have heated up concerning the latest "non-activity" of many of the workers on the roster. Over the past several weeks several unnamed wrestlers have been heavily booked but according to high ranking executives within the company "aren't pulling their weight" when it comes to promoting matches, shows, and GZW2K1 as a whole. Sources, which asked their name be withheld, say, "it's one of the banes of this industry when their is a sharp decline in the promotion by wrestling. If left unchecked it can have a tsunami type effect that everyone on the roster will be like riders on a horse named Richard or something in a desolate maggot filled plain."
*Fans behind color commentator Joshua Samson report that his mumbled response to Maggot (Souji Shirakawa)'s attack on Eva "Nemesis" Hikari was to call the young talent "Ryder lite". Samson's dislike of Shane Ryder's frequent "alignment" shifts is well known. All three of Ground Zero Global's beloved "Stooges" have apparently talked to Ring of Honor Icon Alexander Hunt and other talented related executives about Shirakawa's attitude, and taken the unusual step of talking to him personally.
No current news
*No less a voice than Kandi Fortune-Corbin (her company, Crown Firebird, is part owner of GLORY) has put in a word for a women's league with full weight class mirroring to be added to mixed martial arts orginaztion GLORY. Many of the current male fighters have actually echoed the Phoenix's cry. Keith "The Locksmith" Lincoln, the Pride of PEI, has apparently given Fortune-Corbin a list of female fighters that train at his gym, as have John "Jabber" Wocky of Team Harbringer and Justin "Final Bell" Belacroix. Dissenting voices are around, notably current GLORY Heavyweight Champ Ryan "The Cat" Garfield, noted for his sexist attitudes.
*Grayson "Gray Death" Deathers has been vocally bashing Interim Middleweight Champion "Cutthroat" James Cuttler every chance he gets. At a local meet and greet in Las Vegas, Deathers challenged Cuttler for the Middleweight title at the upcoming GLORY "Iron Man" pay-per-view. He went on to state "...it is far past time that GLORY recognizes a true Middleweight Champ and not some bitchass interim chump that won't last the first two minutes in the ring with the Gray Death." No word yet on whether GLORY officials will be pitting the two against each other.
*Stewart Tamanka has re-emerged in Canadian Stampede Wrestling, in what many are seeing as an attempt to re-invigorate a flagging brand. The CSW logo is currently absent from the GZG "G0G" logo, and it is said that Chief Operations Director Andrew Excelsior is willing to try anything to keep the plug from being pulled, as Canada itself is a strong market for GZG overall.
*It is thought that an unstable Canadian wrestling federation is a blockage to Nikita Fortune's desire to start a company in the EU. Possible base cities include London, Rome, and any of three Greek cities.GroundZero Enterprise's Senior Vice-President of European Operations has tried to decouple the European project from CSW's success, but the board, including her own family it is rumored, insist that GZE's current wrestling properties be stable and in the black first.
*There is talk of a "recap" show premiering on GZG360 this month entitled "UJW Shootout". From all estimations the initial show will be a pilot espisode and the normal programming will commence next month in May with two shows a month. Ground Zero Global are highly concerned with American viewers and their lack of knowledge for the United Japan Wrestling landscape. Insiders are hoping that "UJW Shootout" is a great success as there are future plans to broadcast live UJW shows on a regular basis.
