---- As noted earlier, Terri Runnels appeared on the Monday Night Mayhem radio show last week. The hosts asked Terri if there was any pressure on her for being married to somebody in the company, using Triple H & Stephanie McMahon as an example and saying that people argue over whether he has his position because of his marriage. Terri replied with the following:
"I will defend Triple H in a heartbeat because I remember way back when, I don't remember what year it was, but this was way back in WCW when Paul was at a party that Diamond Dallas Page and Kimberly threw, this was a Christmas party. And he had just gotten in the business, and I remember, everyone was saying "Here's this new kid" and he had just come in the business and, I remember watching him, and what I respected about him was, he was such a student of the business. You could tell he wanted to soak up and learn absolutely everything he could. And so for that, you cannot, there's no way, if you really know who Paul Levesque is, and what he's done, the way he has ate, slept, and breathed this business, long before Stephanie, there's no way you can say he needed Stephanie to do anything. He didn't. And I think it's a great disservice to him whenever any fan says that. Yes of course his life is made easier in terms of what he gets to do, I'm sure if he has an idea, it probably flies a lot quicker than, you know, any other Joe Blow, but to say that he hasn't earned the place that he's at in this business, I think is unfair."
----It was announced on Raw last night that Ken Kennedy will return to television on next week's show. The plan going into the weekend was for him to work last night's show and end up in the King of the Ring tournament finals against CM Punk. Obviously that planned was changed and Kennedy will return to the company after Backlash. Kennedy has been away from WWE filming a straight-to-DVD movie in Puerto Rico
The following is compiled from several live reports from fans who attended this week's WWE RAW:
The man who portrayed Senator Barack Obama on RAW was played EWA-CWA indy wrestler Deon Davis. Hillary Clinton was played by SHIMMER wrestler Lexie Fyfe. The Bill Clinton character has appeared for WWE over the years several times before.
Ron Killings beat Trevor Murdoch with the Axe Kick.
The crowd was totally bored by the Obama vs. Hillary match. Bill got some pops but the overall segment did not go over well live.
----On last night's edition of "Countdown with Keith Olberman" on MSNBC, WWE superstar and FOX Business Channel correspondant John Bradshaw Layfield was named yesterday's "Worst Person in the World". Despite the fact that JBL is presented as a reputable business analyst, JBL's claim that his new "Mamajuana Energy" drink is an herbal remedy equivalent to "liquid viagra" has been proven false by physicians.
JBL has responded to the New York Times article where Dr. Andrew McCullogh, director of sexual health and male infertility at New York University, was quoted as saying that Layfield Energy’s Mamajuana Energy Drink is “marketing hocus pocus." JBL said the following:
“Dr. Andrew McCullough mentioned that it was “marketing hocus pocus.” What he’s talking about is the original ‘mamajuana,’ which we have nothing to do with … nothing what-so-ever. To me, it was pretty irresponsible for a guy who’s supposed to be a doctor saying something so bogus without knowing what it is.”
“If someone wants the veracity of this, try it. Try to make up your own mind. We have had 100 percent of people who’ve tried it say how great this product is. This doctor doesn’t even look at it. All he does is stick up for his pharmaceuticals. That’s one of my issues with the pharmaceutical industry — they believe pharmacy is a panacea for absolutely everything. They give drugs for everything. We never claimed to be a drug. We never claimed to cure a disease. We never claimed to cure erectile dysfunction.”
“That’s not what Mamajuana is for. This is simply the hottest new product that Layfield Energy has out. It’s to raise your libido, give you a great sex life and that’s all it is for. It’s not meant to put a man on the moon. This doctor claiming this is about as irresponsible as you can claim. I hope he does better research for his institution than what he did before the interview for this article.
