It has recently been announced that the GroundZero Wrestling 2K1 World Heavyweight Championship match between Ground Zero Global Extreme Triple Crown Champion Jericho "Raze" Cross and current World Heavyweight Champion Ring of Honor Icon Sean "Magic" Fiery has been downgraded to a non-championship match. There has been no official word on why it has been changed but the weapons in each corner stipulation remains in effect.
The Heatwave V main event has been made official as former World Heavyweight Champion Vernon Vanderbilt is set to take on current World Heavyweight Champion Ring of Honor Icon Sean "Magic" Fiery. Executives within the Command Suite are expecting through the roof buyrates for the pay-per-view now that two of the biggest names in the sport are set to face one-on-one for the first time in GZW2K1 history.
