Indy Fed Name: BCWF – British Championship Wrestling Federation
Style: Sports Entertainment but with focus on good matches and less sensationalist storylines.
Base Location: Manchester, England
Age: 15
Owner: ‘The Gentleman’ Adam Marx
Finance: Has recently started to make slim profits after a few years where they were struggling after being dropped by GZG.
Local Reputation: 100%
National Reputation: 45/ 50ish% - Britain currently has two evenly matched larger scale feds.
Global Reputation: 18% (was notably higher when associated with GZG)
BCWF was relatively well known a few years back when it was a feeder fed to GZW, famously providing them with ‘Smooth Operator’ Billy Bond as well as less prolific wrestlers such as The Bilston Brawler, ‘Bad Rep’ Mark A, and Mick McNasty. Once dropped from GZG, BCWF went into a recession and the talk within the industry was that the former titan of British wrestling might go under. However, the company was bought by canny businessmen and wrestling mark, Adam Marx whose clever, patient, long-term booking whereby internationally famous talent was booked, but the BCWF’s roster were heavily pushed at these shows (that were well attended because of the stars being there), the business picked up and the British fans got back into BCWF whose permanent roster started to become real stars in their own right. The introduction of the X division was also popular and the notably different wrestling style gained the fans respect which meant that the division picked up significantly. With this notable success, a significant British cable TV deal was negotiated, and BCWF appears to be going from strength to strength.

Other notes:
It is a well known industry truth that ‘Smooth Operator’ Billy Bond clashed with the old management of BCWF and has gone on record slating the former employers who jobbed him for his insubordination. It was always assumed that Bond would never step foot in a BCWF ring again, but it is uncertain how he gets along with his GZW contemporary Adam Marx.
In early 2008, ‘Firefly’ Sho Murakame, now a British resident (and citizen), appeared in several BCWF events to get in ring shape and shake the ring rust for his return match at Anniversary Armageddon with Kid Kaos. This was considered a huge coup for the British fed, and the quality of his match with KK was testament to this.
Currently, the wrestlers being heavily pushed as the headliners are Chris Victoria, Adrian Jones, Brian Williams, Lord Islington, Jose Fernandez, and Mr. Bollywood.
The tag-team roster and division are considered weak, but the X Division and Heavyweight division are thriving.
Many on the BCWF roster still deeply resent GZG, particularly John Profit.
The reality of BCWF’s finances was that, without the huge (and risky) investment put in by Marx, it would have gone under in the mid-00s.
