Smooth Operator
Billy Bond
Profile:
Billy Bond, 'The Smooth Operator', was an amateur British wrestler
who spent the early part of his career as the 'jobber' in Dark
matches for the BCWF, and he came to EWO for an opportunity to
shine... and boy did he ever take the bull by the horns! Storming
his way through the ranks with his genuine talent, coupled with
incomparable charm (arrogance?), a forward nature, and
unbelievable good looks, he soon became loved by the ladies and
hated by the men, and it wasn't long before he became the EWO
extreme champion after winning it with his Smooth Operation
finisher. However, Bond simply wasn't ready for the extreme nature
of hardcore matches and was soon dethroned from that belt. When
EWO sold it's franchise wrestlers to GZW, Bond managed to take
his amateur and technical skills and add a superhuman level of
endurance and stamina to it that he had not previously had. This
earned him a respected Intercontinental run, and a push up the
card. By this point, Bond had grown harder on the outside, but
softer on the inside. Becoming less of a selfish womaniser, and
more of a heroic role model, he rapidly became one of all the fans
most favoured babyfaces... But he never did manage to completely
lose the charmer within despite a long term relationship with fellow
wrestler, Crystal. At the peak of his career, Bond was the GZW
champion, defending the belt frequently against numerous big
names and standing up to the monster, Deacon Kane: beating him
twice in the centre of the ring. After losing the belt to Zac Sharp in
one of the most infamous moments in GZW history, Bond was
quickly headhunted for a role in the Mars Wars trilogy of films.
Bond briefly came back to the ring after that, but didn't last long as
the lure of more and more lucrative films drew him away from
wrestling in into Hollywood. His appearances in GZW dried up, and
Bond became a full-time Hollywood actor. His success in
Hollywood continued, and before he knew it, three years had
passed.
But Billy Bond is back in GZW. The Once and Future Kings has
returned and seems hungry once more. What significance is there
to Bond returned at almost the same time as Zac Sharp? How long
is he here for? What does he want to achieve? At this point,
nobody knows, but what we do know is that... "It's gonna be
Smooth!"

trademark is his distinctive sunglasses: blue square lenses within
gold oval frames. He often pauses on the zerotron to lower the

up for every visit to GZW HQ and for most of the promos that he
does.
