There has been rumors that BDR and Hong Kong Wrestling Federation CEO/GZW2K1 stockholder John Profit have been engaged in preliminary talks concerning doing business together. Many feel that Profit is looking to enlist the well-known filmmaker to produce a documentary concerning the ultra-violent HKWF. Others believe that it is Dowling-Reid looking to recruit Profit and his seemingly endless coffers in order to start an upstart rival to that of GroundZero Wrestling 2K1.
Supposedly the Executive Committee does not have much faith in the recently returned Globalstar Shane Ryder and his run with the United States Heavyweight Championship. Sources have revealed that there is a major push to get the title around a more proven veteran leading many to believe that at Crimson "Eve of Anarchy" Ring of Honor Icon Nathan "T-Rex" Williams will be leaving the Hangman's Horror match with the United States Championship.
Everything has been done to give Ryder a push---aligning him with the main event stable of Kindred Elite, spotlighting the real life relationship between he and "Wild Card" Eddie Knoxville Television Champion Joy Napier, and placing him in the hunt for the Ground Zero Global International Heavyweight Championship.
With summer contract evaluations already in full swing, many Globalstars look to be on the threshold. Names recently leaked from the GZW2K1 Command Suite include Munin, Johnny "Vyper" Williams, Paul "Cruxis" Gardner, John Champa, and 2007 Lord of the Coliseum Leon Corbin.
Finally there has been some arguing amongst the Executive Committee concerning the GZW2K1 World Tag Team Heavyweight titles. Many are wondering why the newly assigned GZG troubleshooter, Catherine Cavanaugh, is so adamant about reviving the tag team division when it has proven countless times in GZW2K1 illustrious history to be a ratings flop and heat killer. Many high level executives, who wish to remain nameless, have stated that "....why bring back another title, which has proven to be useless, when the titles that are currently active do not get pushed sufficiently? I cannot believe that this woman [Cavanaugh] has any clue on how to operate a wrestling company!"
