Personality/Bio: Cyrus comes across as being laid back, but only when he is around his friends or when no one is talking to him. Although a good person, Cyrus is a bit hot headed and can lose his temper quickly. This is due to his rough upbringing where he suffered almost constant verbal and physical abuse. For a while, he grew up in Trenton, NJ until his parents moved to Lansing, Michigan, where he lives now. While settling in, he realised things might not be so fun in his new hometown as he fell victim to regular beatings and verbal assaults. This would persist for a long time, stopping only when he saved enough money to go to a wrestling school. Using the abilities he had learned there, he was able to defend himself without doing any visible harm to his attackers, which allowed him to avoid arrest when caught fighting. Before, he would retaliate physically and, despite not being a bad guy, would end up in trouble with the authorities.
While training in his new craft, he became a little more disciplined and was able to pour himself into a sport that allowed him to vent his frustrations in a controlled environment. After ‘graduating’, he showed promise on the smaller territories before expanding his horizons by going to places further away and picking up useful tips on the indy circuit. Not long into his new career, the attacks on his person stopped when he showed he could defend himself far more adequately. It was on the independent circuit that he met Johnny “Vyper” Williams, who recently submitted some of Porter’s tapes to GZG talent scouts.
Now in the big leagues, Cyrus seeks to make an impact that will make him a household name. With all the big names here, he hopes to find intense competition that will allow him to show friends, foes and fans alike what he can really do.
Strengths
Fast Learner- Cyrus picks up on pointers, tips and patterns very quickly. Once he senses a pattern in his opponent’s offense, he looks to use it against them.
Varied Repertoire- With many moves in his arsenal, Porter likes to mix it up and keep his opponent guessing.
Ali Influenced- On top of his grappling abilities, Porter sometimes likes to take cues from the legendary Muhammad Ali, in particular, his sense of showmanship, ducking, weaving and out manoeuvring his opponent to tire them out before heading in to finish them off.
Weaknesses
Show Off- Although he loves competition, his showmanship can sometimes be a disadvantage for him as he may take his focus off his opponent at the wrong time.
Hot Headed- Sometimes he can lose his temper. This can result in him lashing out in a way that can get him in trouble. His outbursts don’t last as long as those of some other wrestlers.
Too Honest- Porter isn’t one to take liberties or shortcuts in regular matches-unless his opponent does so first. This can cause problems for him when faced with some less chivalrous opponents, should their underhanded tactics incapacitate him.
