Former World Heavyweight champion John Champa has apparently retired from GroundZero Wrestling 2K1.
Champa said Wednesday on his official Web site that he's "done wrestling." He expressed his displeasure at not getting a title shot against current champion Davina Cameron and with GZW2K1 President Seth Richards, who wouldn't adjust a booking date to accommodate his movie schedule.
Champa is shooting the A-Team, playing B.A. Baracas — the role first popularized by Mr. T on the 1980's television show.
Currently in a bitter feud with Ring of Honor Icon Nathan "T-Rex" Williams and Tommy Casper, Champa seemingly has thrown a lot of the company's plans into turmoil.
However, he said he wished ill will to nobody as he moves on to focus on an acting career.
"I still feel GZW is a great organization and I felt like I was very loyal to them but they didn't respect my loyalty but I wish GZW the best," he wrote on his Web site. "I did a lot of things for them. I wish no bad blood between us but I have kids & a family back in Pearl River, Mississippi to provide for & thats all that matters to me!"Taken from www.GZW2K1Fans.com
