MONDAY NIGHT THROWDOWN 28 JUNE 2004
The show opened with an impressive pyrotechnics display as "New Noise" by Refused blasted throughout the packed-out GZW Coliseum. A high budget entrance video was aired, featuring high spots from recent matches. The matches of relative newcomers such as Joshua Cleaver, Kaine, Seven and Mychael Lord are paid particular attention to. Herbert Torres welcomed the packed out crowd to the first-ever Monday Night Throwdown, calling out the card in full, as well as telling us that we would be greeted with a special announcement from Clancy Mc Clean later in the show.
Backstage
In a backstage locker-room we saw a glass vase fly across a room and shatter on the wall. Then we say the self-proclaimed "Living Legend" in a bad mood. Pimp said how the main event is a farce, and how he wanted nothing particularly to do with it. Pimp then cut a promo mentioning how he was better than all three men combined. Pimp then staked his claim for the Final by stating how Lord was going to be no match for him.
In-Ring
"Tear It Up" by Young Wun began to play as James Tanner made his way down the ramp. He slid into the ring and called for a mic as the music faded out.
He started off by talking about his victory over Edwin on Crimson and said it was a harder match than he thought it would be. He then went on to say that he respected Edwin alot after that match and wished him the best of luck in the GZW.
After that he went on to talk about the rumor in the back about him and Shannon. He told the sold out crowd that there was nothing going on between them and that they were just good friends. He said he was happly married and wasn't going to leave his wife for anyone.
He then turned his attention to his next opponent Paul Phoenix. He stated that since the GZW had reopened Phoenix had been making a poor showing and should think about leaving for a time being. He said that Paul was so busy with his current dealings with the law that there was no possible way he could focus on his wrestling career as well.
He mentioned that Paul was a shining star in UWA only because of Mr. Demonye and had he not been there he would have been in the same ranking as Cornell Davis. He told Paul to either forget about his rap sheet and bring it to the ring or to go back to the slammer and put his dress back on because either way he was ******.
The music kicked back in as James rolled out of the ring and made his way up the ramp slapping hands with several fans before going into the back.

Immediately before Tonya Glory went out to face "Mister Suave" Rico J, the Unbreakable Female unleashed into a verbal tirade against the GZW2K1 head offices specifically "the chauvinistic female hating" executives that are spearheaded by the "ignorant window dressing of a commissioner" Devotion Profit. Glory did not understand that after walking away with a victory against Commissioner Profit's bodyguard Zero last week on Crimson to advance to the Second Round of the W.C.E.K Television Championship Memorial Tournament how this week she was opening against a developmental wrestler that she has been training for the past year and a half. Glory viewed the upcoming contest "an insult and a proverbial black eye to all women in this sport" but as a "true professional" she would "walk into the ring and defeat this pathetic joke" compared to her own skills. She went on to claim that Commissioner Devotion still had to live up to her end of the bargain since she did defeat Zero. Before making her way through the curtain, Glory commented on the late "Wild Card" Eddie Knoxville; his work ethic in the ring and out, his "undying commitment to the Television title", and how much she will miss seeing him around Trouble Trax.
"Unbreakable Female" Tonya Glory vs. "Mr. Suave" Rico J.
Glory, determined to prove her mettle in the Television Championship division, made short work of the Tennessee native, catching him in a series of six rolling vertical suplexes. The crowd remained dead throughout, until "Mr. Suave" got the advantage with a dirty low blow and went for his Apocalypse powerbomb, but somehow slipped and fell on his back side. The crowd erupted in "You Fucked Up" chants as Glory came back and worked on the larger man on the mat, at one point almost knocking the big man out with a sleeper. Leaving her groggy foe motionless on the mat, Glory ascended the turnbuckle and leapt off gracefully with her Top Gun Elbow Drop, scoring the quick pinfall.
Winner via Pinfall: Tonya Glory

Alongside Jeff the Interviewer, John Taylor stood backstage in his wrestling gear. The Lone Gunman said that he had very little faith in Joshua Cleaver as a tag team partner for his match later tonight. Taylor portrayed his feelings regarding relying on others in wrestling, bringing up how his one-time run-in buddy Len "The Lizard" DuBray accidentally hit him with a steel chair, costing Taylor the Light Heavyweight Championship. Taylor said he was going into the match as if it were a fatal four way, and that by no means would he depend on Cleaver. He noted that it would be the first time in years that he'd step into the ring with Mychael Lord, and that he was genuinely looking forward to the challenge. When asked about Jimmy Williams, Taylor turned rather sour, saying that the Real Deal's ego was to blame for his loss to Cleaver and elimination from the tournament. Taylor also told Jeff how this was his first televised main event since losing the Light Heavyweight strap to Luke LaVerne, and that he was going into tonight's match looking to truly prove himself as a capable headliner.
Zero-tron
The arena went dark, except for the Zero-Tron which was completely white, as the lights cut out. Words then began to flash on the screen as strange whispers read them.
A dark fuzzy image then appeared on the completely white screen. Footsteps were heard as well while the fuzzy image got larger, or better yet closer to the camera. The image looked to take the shape of a person and began to clear up. Closer and closer the person got, but just before they could become visible the screen went to static. A distorted image then appeared for a few seconds.....
The lights came back on and everything went back to normal as if nothing happened.

.Where do you draw the line between fantasy and reality? .
.The world has been blinded by the ideas of religion and science.
.Forced to believe that there is reasoning behind everything that occurs.
.Manipulated into thinking that "there is no such thing as.....".
.The unexplained needs no explanation.
.What lies before your eyes is a whole world of mystery and wonder.
.But throughout history those wonders have been smothered and accused of being non-existent.
.Not by everyone though.
.It is time for the world to open its eyes.
