- Randy Orton was told over the weekend that he shouldn't be wrestling for three weeks, according to f4wonline.com. Besides the attack from Edge last night, Orton isn't expected to take many bumps over the next few weeks leading up to Fatal 4 Way.
- CM Punk currently has a bet going with WWE ring announcer Tony Chimel regarding the Stanley Cup. The bet is that if the Chicago Blackhawks win, Chimel has to announce CM Punk as hailing from "the home of the Stanley Cup Champion Chicago Blackhawks, Chicago, IL." and if the Philadelphia Flyers win the Cup, Punk has to cut a promo where he mentions that "this city is not nearly as good as Philadelphia."
--- The upcoming WWE DVD titled "Best of RAW: Seasons 1 & 2" from 1993 will actually be a four-disc DVD set. It's currently scheduled to be released on August 10th and has a PG rating.

- Randy Orton actually dislocated his shoulder on May 22nd in St. Louis, playing a pick-up basketball game with friends and doing a slam dunk. This was two days before the Over the Limit PPV. This is something like the third time it has been dislocated. The current plan is for Orton to focus on physical therapy before eventually needing surgery.

WWE giving Joe Hennig the name of Michael McGillicutty on the new season of NXT has many in the company baffled, especially since they acknowledged him as the son of Curt Hennig.
According to friends of Joe’s, he was under the impression that as recent as a few weeks ago that he would be using the Hennig name on the main roster. Ever since coming to developmental, Hennig has been told to look and work like his late father because he would be using the Hennig name.
It’s no secret that WWE likes complete control of their talent names, but to give a guy like David Otunga his real name on the roster and give Hennig a gimmicked name, makes no sense to most. The name Hennig would obviously mean a lot more to wrestling fans than a name like Otunga.
--WWE Hall Of Famer Jim Ross recently answered some fan questions on his official website. Below are some excerpts:
On Vince McMahon pushing black wrestlers, notably - Kofi Kingston and R-Truth: "I am not a 'color' guy and the best athletes should get the most opportunities. I'm happy for any talent who gets a legit shot to be great no matter their color. For years and years the wrestling business held blacks and women down as I saw it first hand."
On whether or not William Regal is underutilized: "It really doesn't matter what I think but I like Regal and we heard what he can do promo wise Tuesday night. He's a talented guy who can teach young guys in ring skills."

June 28, 2010: Rob Zombie
No, Halloween isn’t early this year. Before Rob Zombie hits the road for the Rock Star Mayhem Tour, which kicks off July 10 in San Bernardino, Calif., the rock icon and horror filmmaker guest hosts Monday Night Raw, which promises to be a frightfully fun evening for the WWE Universe.
---Jim Ross noted on his blog that he will be working on a new THQ-produced WWE video game soon where he will be commentating alongside Jerry Lawler. Apparently the theme of the game will be WWE Legends competing with current Superstars. Ross says the concept explained to him was “really cool” and that he starts voice-over work in the next few weeks.

- WWE issued a press release in support of its new comedy film "The Chaperone" Monday, confirming that a child actress from "Modern Family" will join WWE Superstar Triple H in the film.
Triple H, who also stars in WWE's "Inside Out," plays Ray Bradstone, a skilled getaway driver for a team of bank robbers. Recently, however, Ray has been looking to leave the world of crime in order to become a good father for his daughter Sally ("Modern Family"'s Ariel Winter) and make amends with his wife (Annabeth Gish, "Brotherhood").
Struggling to find honest work, Ray reluctantly accepts a final gig with his old bank-robbing crew, led by Phillip Larue (Kevin Corrigan, "Superbad"). At the last second, Ray backs out of the heist to serve as a chaperone for his daughter's school field trip. Without Ray at the wheels, the robbery goes awry, and Phillip seeks vengeance, chasing Ray and the school bus to the Museum of Natural History in New Orleans.
"Ray must deal with Larue, while supervising Sally’s class on what becomes one of the craziest school trips ever."
Stephen Herek ("Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure") directs the film, which began principal photography Monday in New Orleans, Louisiana.

--- Joe Hennig, now known as Michael McGillicutty on WWE NXT, said the following on Twitter about his new name:
"A lot of folks are asking about my "name". Lets face it: Michael McGillicutty is the next generation of the WWE, the next World Champion... While on the other hand Joe Hennig was simply the son of Mr. Perfect...I will make a mark in the WWE & on NXT by MYSELF, not my name..."

Evan Bourne’s push last week came partly because John Cena went to Vince McMahon and basically told him that the company was dropping the ball by not pushing Bourne. Another part of the reason was that with Daniel Bryan and Kaval coming up to the main roster, WWE wants to condition fans to accept a small guy as a main eventer.

Triple H's movie sounds terrible.
Good for John Cena standing up for Bourne like that. The dude is pure freakin talent and fun to watch... I don't understand why it's taking Cena to speak up for him. Also, imagine matches with him, Kaval, Bryan, and Gabriel, with Morrison in the mix as well. Ah, I can only wish haha

- Exact numbers aren’t in yet but the NXT invasion at the end of this week’s RAW gained around 861,000 viewers. This is above average compared to most overrun segments on RAW.
--- As noted before, the reaction backstage after the NXT invasion on RAW was very positive. The angle was kept a secret from almost everyone in the company. The closing angle wasn’t listed on the show’s format other than a vague finish.
- Apparently the fan voting at this past Monday’s Viewer’s Choice RAW was legit. However, the choices were laid out so that WWE still had some control over whatever happened.
--- The WWE creative team is currently happy with Michelle McCool and Layla's team. Some felt at first that WWE had just created their own version of TNA's Beautiful People but the feeling now is that LayCool is hotter than The Beautiful People and they beat them at their own game.
- Trish Stratus talked to The Wrestler/Inside Wrestling magazine recently about working with WWE again. She said: "I always want to do something that is challenging and impactful, no matter what I do … Absolutely, I’d go back—but only if I could do something that makes a difference."

Evan Bourne is reportedly in line for a 'serious' push. WWE's mentality is that the best people entering the wrestling industry are generally of the smaller variety and they have to establish that small-sized wrestlers can headline or else face major depth issues in the future.
--According to a report by Dave Meltzer, Vince McMahon showed up at WWE's TV tapings this week with two black eyes and a cut over one eye that went to his forehead. Nobody seemed to know what happened. Everyone was talking about it privately but nobody wanted to say anything out loud for fear they might be heard.
Vince never addressed it and if anyone did ask Vince what happened, they weren't telling what he said. It was described as looking like he got in a fight or some kind of accident. Most figured he was in an accident because if it were a fight, it would be hard to keep that quiet.
--According to Dave Meltzer, Chris Jericho's deal to host a new game show for ABC dubbed "Downfall" has raised eyebrows in WWE circles. Jericho's current contract with WWE is set to expire this fall, and there are internal concerns that this deal could result in Jericho taking another hiatus from the company.
