News floating about the Globalverse is that GroundZero Wrestling 2K1's annual visit to Hong Kong starting in August will be a departure from past years. Traditionally, GZW2K1's wrestling broadcasts (Titan, Storm, Crimson) are highlighted with extreme stipulations to each match since morality laws are much more lax. It has supposedly been ordered by the Command Suite that this year's build up to the Heatwave VII pay-per-view will not involve any extreme stipulations. No word yet on whether or not Heatwave VII will have the normal extreme matches fans have become accustomed to.
It has been confirmed that GZW2K1 has not vacated the Intercontinental Heavyweight Championship as requested by Joe Cross. The official GZW2K1 website has Cross listed as the champion under its titleholders section.
With GZW2K1 soon to be in Hong Kong Wrestling Federation territory rumors are abound that Lord Seth Raide, Lord John "The Lone Gunman" Taylor, and "Lord" Deacon Bane have been contacted to play a part in some kind of way with the build up to the summer pay-per-view. It has been mentioned in passing that ideas have been pitched for a small "Lord" Deacon Bane/Vernon Vanderbilt program.
