There has been talk coming out of the GroundZero Wrestling 2K1 Command Suite that this year's Lord of the Coliseum would be in jeopardy of not taking place. The annual event which dates back to 2001 has been a mainstay on the calender of events. It was only in 2003 during "The Hiatus" that the tournament to crown the best Globalstar did not occur. For years there has been mixed feelings from staff, Globalstars, and fans alike concerning the one night tournament. After a fan poll was posted on the official GZW2K1 site it seems that the 2010 Lord of the Coliseum contest will indeed be aired on Crimson in October.
Word has it that Crimson "Best of the Best" will not only host the 2010 LotC but a new class of Icons will be inducted into the Ring of Honor that night. Many names have are rumored to be on the ballot including Captain All-Star, "The First" Paul Spartan, Lord Seth Raide, and Lord Leon Corbin. A featured match between Lord John "Lone Gunman" Taylor and "Lord Deacon" Bane in honor of the Ring of Honor Icon induction is said to be in the earlier negotiations.
It has been confirmed by reliable sources within the Command Suite that the Japan leg of the Summer Heat Tour has been canceled. Although no official reason was given it can only be assumed that the ongoing strained relationship between United Japan Wrestling and Ground Zero Global has played a major factor in the decision making.
