- Tyler Black worked his final independent date this weekend in Chicago, teaming with Jimmy Jacobs. Black is living in Tampa and has been working out at WWE's FCW developmental territory. He will now be working exclusively with WWE.
- There have been rumors within WWE about RAW Diva Jillian Hall's future with the company. While her status with the company is in good standing, plans are being made to "retire" Jillian as an on-air performer. She would then work as a trainer to WWE's female developmental talents in Tampa, Florida. No word yet when these changes will happen with Jillian but that is the plan.
-Unless WWE announces something else, NXT is expected to move to the WWE website beginning next week as the NXT deal with SyFy expires this week and Smackdown comes to the network on Friday nights. NXT will remain on TV in Canada, the UK and other countries.
WWE officials are high on NXT and at last word, were still looking for a new TV deal in the United States.
This is a different write up from the original.
-Cody Rhodes’ lack of major push is said to be attributed to Vince McMahon’s lack of faith in the second generation wrestler.
“Cody Rhodes is capable of a breakout, but Vince McMahon just can’t commit to him,” a source told the Pro Wrestling Torch. “He thinks he overacts.”

Vince McMahon has gone back and forth on the time frame for unifying the World Heavyweight Championship and the WWE Championship. At times he has wanted the unification to take place within 30 days, but company officials have urged him to wait until Wrestlemania 27.
Many within the company feel they need to place the titles on the proper people and position them strongly in order to make the unification match a major event.
Though McMahon has come off adamant about unifying the titles, no one has ruled out the possibility that he'll have a change of heart.

Any ideas why they might unify the titles?

They really shouldn't. There's too many stars on the rosters to give them ONE World Title to fight for. They most times struggle with just the two, because then some of your best wrestlers get cut out and basically shoved into pointless feuds because there's "no room" for them... Ala Edge vs. Loptop GM. I mean, SERIOUSLY?! I don't see a unification being such a swell idea.

In an interesting trivia note, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter mentions in its bio on former WWE performer Giant González that had Hulk Hogan not had a falling out with Vince McMahon over dropping the WWF Championship to Bret Hart in 1993, his next scheduled feud would have been with the giant grappler. Furthermore, González would not have come out on the losing end of his feud with The Undertaker, so he could be kept strong for the program with Hogan. There was also talk of Lex Luger feuding with González, but a decision was made to not run with it for fear it would lead to bad matches, thus hurting Luger's strong momentum at the time.

Now that match, Hogan vs. Gonzalez would have really stunk. It would have never had the same hype as his match with Andre, plus neither Hogan nor Gonzalez was very good in the ring...

WrestleZone has learned that while there has been no official contact between the parties, WWE is expected to discuss a possible return with Strikeforce fighter Bobby Lashley.
Lashley, who just returned to pro wrestling over the weekend in Japan, was the victim of dehydration and lost in his recent Strikeforce outing, putting a huge dent in Strikeforce's plans to match Lashley against fellow former WWE headliner Dave "Batista" Bautista. Now Lashley finds himself without any leverage in Strikeforce, and as far away from a headline fight against either Fedor Emelianenko or Strikeforce Champion Alistair Overeem as he has ever been. Lashley, who many dubbed the next Brock Lesnar in MMA, has seen his mixed martial arts career fizzle out since his crushing defeat, and is said to be entertaining the idea of going back to WWE or TNA, with WWE being his first choice due to the higher profile and bigger money paid by the organization.

Credit: PWInsider.com Michael Cole is expected to be appearing on Smackdown more often in addition to RAW. Vince McMahon is pretty high on the outspoken commentator at the moment and feels that he would help establish the show on SyFy, which is very important to the company right now with its move to a new network. The way Cole effectively delivers messages from creative and the way he plays his on-air character are things that have pleased McMahon recently. Credit: F4WOnline.com The feeling within WWE creative is that things need to change and be shaken up. It’s expected that something big will be happening soon and it may have been decided on already, but is being kept a secret and most of the creative team doesn’t even know what it will be. It’s being said that things will be different in January of next year. Since nobody knows what that means, nobody can tell if it’s going to be a good or bad thing. In other words, nobody knows nothing, but something could happen - The plan is for David Hart Smith to turn heel on Tyson Kidd and Natalya, breaking up The Hart Dynasty. - MVP has been worried about his position with WWE, noting that he sees younger guys being pushed ahead of him while they’re not doing much with him. - Michael Tarver was removed from The Nexus because of a groin injury that will keep him out of action. - WWE has talked about doing a live pre-game show for their PPV events, in hopes of getting some last minute buys. - It’s said that Sheamus is locked into a top spot with the company. Some of his supporters include John Cena, Triple H and Randy Orton. - According to Dave Meltzer, Alberto Del Rio was actually very close to quitting not long ago. He was saying he wasn’t making much money and wanted to return to Mexico. This is around the time they started bringing him on the road and planning the promos that aired on Smackdown. - Goldust was given the feud with Ted DiBiase because they wanted him to have a program since his autobiography is coming out in December. The idea for the feud came up when someone in creative realized their fathers did a program with each other in WWF about 20 years ago. ~~ Busted Open with Jeff Hardy Hosts: Dave LaGreca & Doug Mortman Sirius 125, XM 241 (previously on XM 243) Mondays and Wednesdays 2-4 PM ET Visit facebook.com/bustedopen for more information. - Hardy on his feud with C.M. Punk: "I don't think he (Punk) appreciates it as much as he should... I was proud I was able to do that for Punk (help get him over), despite our relationship off screen." - Hardy on his brother Matt Hardy: "When it comes to Twitter and YouTube, he loves that....he lives for that. I don't necessarily agree with what he's doing, but I'm all about creative control of yourself and if you want to go out there and do something different and express yourself so I kinda look at it like that. Oh, you want to express yourself as Matthew and Matt, ok fine man, I'm just gonna trust you on this. I dont necessarily agree with that, but go for it." - Hardy on getting Matt and Hurricane Helms to TNA: "It'd be great. Hurricane Helms is pretty much out there as a free agent. I've always wanted to bring a (illegible) group back, which I think would be huge so there's a good opportunity for that, so we'll see, we'll see what happens. ~~ Goldust book cover:

I think it's hilarious when they talk about Vince and how things "please" him. I just get this odd vision of Vince tapping his finger together, ala Mr. Burns from the Simpsons, saying in a creepy stuck-up voice "You please me... Please me moooore!!"

When reports first broke that Batista was considering a mixed martial arts debut with Strikeforce, many doubted that the former WWE Champion was ever realistically planning to step into a cage fight. Sources, however, persistently said the debut was going to happen, with fellow WWE wrestler-turned-fighter Bobby Lashley being eyed as an ideal first opponent. The persistence, combined with photos of Batista training with Team Cesar Gracie, kept the discussion alive.
But if a quote attributed to Batista from earlier this week proves true, one can officially table the rumors of "Big Dave" entering the world of mixed martial arts, at least in the near term.
Joint reporting from MMA Supremacy and Bloody Elbow reveals that Batista is no longer planning for an imminent cage debut and is instead looking towards future involvement with WWE.
"I will not be doing MMA/Strikeforce any time soon. So you can see me in the future of the WWE," said Batista, according to the story.
The news, which comes in the wake of web stories about Batista's high asking price, should not be surprising.
