Kaval released today. Proves the worth of NXT (post-Daniel Bryan). I'm not entirely shocked, since his mic skills were terrible, but he still played as a good "jobber with heart and skill." Oh well. Merry Christmas, Low-Ki!

By Mike Johnson on 2010-12-23 18:36:37 Kaval is once again going by his original ring name Low Ki and has changed his official twitterPosted Image to www.twitter.com/oneworldwarrior. On Twitter, Ki wrote, "Irregardless of the current situation, I only move forward, I will keep you posted. KAVAL is no more. The return of "THE WORLD WARRIOR" has begun." PWI ~~ Partial Source: Pwinsider Word making the rounds is that Kaval's release was an amicable parting of the ways and a mutual decision because WWE didn't have any plans for him, as opposed to the company deciding to drop him on their own. The two sides simply agreed to part ways earlier this week and it was just announced today. It is believed he has the standard 90-day no-compete clause that will prevent him from working for nationally televised companies (TNA/ROH). ~~ Report: Kaval Asked for his WWE Release? Posted by: WrestlingNewsSource.com New reports suggest Kaval requested his WWE release. According to a source close to the wrestler he was "miserable" and did not enjoy the WWE schedule. Officials tried to talk Kaval out of walking but eventually allowed him to walk. Kaval joins MVP and Matt Hardy in asking for a release. This report has yet to be confirmed.

- Several MMA websites are reporting that Brock Lesnar is rumored to be looking for a way to get out of his UFC contract. Apparently Lesnar is wanting to work WWE's WrestleMania 27 pay-per-view in Atlanta next year and has been talking with officials from the company. Lesnar reportedly hasn't talked with anyone from UFC or answered their phone calls since losing the UFC Heavyweight Title to Cain Velasquez last month. Sources also say that Lesnar hasn't began to prepare for his next UFC fight and hasn't trained since losing to Velasquez. It's said that Lesnar has lost some interest in MMA and has been been re-considering his future in the sport after his loss to Velasquez and the beating he took in the win against Shane Carwin before that. Lesnar, who is said to be actively looking to perform at WrestleMania, reportedly has only one fight left on his current UFC contract. Lords of pain article

-- After over a year and a half, the WWE Raw Guest Star concept has apparently come to an end. WWE.com has removed the Raw Guest Star section from its Raw section.
- Michael Cole has been learning to take bumps more recently in preparation for his upcoming guest referee roles at RAW live events. There are still plans for Cole to wrestle a match before too long as Vince McMahon still looks at Cole as one of WWE's top heels.

World Wrestling Entertainment announced today that they would be shutting down their WWEUniverse.com community website, which was launched as the company's in-house version of Myspace and Facebook. Over the last year, the company has chosen to instead integrate their content with the more popular social networking systems, such as twitter, making the in-house site less and less of a priority. The official announcement reads:
We've had a great run WWE Universe ... but all good things must come to an end.
I'm writing to you all today to let you all know that WWEUniverse.com will be closing its doors this Saturday, Jan. 1, 2011.
While the site is going away, some of the site's most popular features will live on:

* Finkel's weekly blogs, as well as The Ross Report from Hall of Famer Jim Ross, will move to their Facebook pages.
* Our make-your-own-highlight-reel video creation factory known as "Smash-Ups" will be added to WWE.com in the near future.
While the site is going away, the WWE Universe will continue to live online. Please consider joining us on our popular outposts on the following social networks:
* Twitter: twitter.com/WWE
* Facebook: Facebook.com/WWE
* YouTube: YouTube.com/WWE
Our WWE Universe Twitter account, @wweuniverse, will continue to provide answers to your fan questions, re-tweeting the best comments from our followers, Superstars and Divas, and provide live coverage and pictures from select WWE events.
In parting, I just want to say thank you to all the dedicated long-time members of this site that participated, contributed photos, blog posts, and comments in the Forums.

Although WWE has not yet given Kong (real name Kia Stephens) a name yet, and a starting date has not been determined, a key WWE source inside the company confirmed with WrestleZone tonight "the deal is complete, and Kong is in."
Our source also stated, "Kong's arrest in Florida for driving with a suspended license was no issue to WWE," and also added, "Kong's representative met with WWE on Wednesday and finalized the details on the deal. It's official, and Vince (McMahon) will decide when to officially announce it or have Kong debut on television."

Dutch Mantell, who is credited for launching TNA Wrestling's women's division in 2007, took to Twitter to congratulate former colleague Awesome Kong on signing with World Wrestling Entertainment.
"Congrats to Awesome Kong for her WWE signing," he wrote. "She was always one of my favorites...glad to see her in a position to make some real money."

Now lets see what the WWE does with her. I think they ca use her like they did Chyna and have her wrestle the men as well, seeing as she's lager and taller than most of them lol

If they insist on remaining in the PG era, then there is NO WAY they will put her against guys as the network would likely object. They can push the envelope and have her fighting a guy, but it'd be a one-off until they got onto a new network.
