There have been serious talks concerning changing the current broadcast lineup for GroundZero Wrestling 2K1 wrestling shows. The pay-per-view schedule for 2011 has been cut down from six to three in order to save on production costs. Currently Ground Zero Global Network is broadcasting the bimonthly Crimson show on the regular while peppering in Titan and/or Storm shows which are normally just televised in local markets.
The most dominate idea is that Storm would remain in its Sunday slot airing only in local markets, Crimson would remain as the flagship show broadcasting on Friday, and Titan would be a fixed Tuesday airing on a national level. Both Titan and Crimson would broadcast during the same week on a bimonthly schedule.
It is believed that Vyper's sudden push to the main event has come at the behest of both GZW2K1 stockholder/Hong Kong Wrestling Federation Chief Executive Officer John Profit and current GZW2K World Heavyweight Champion Ring of Honor Icon James "Monarch" Corbin. Both men supposedly agree that a true main event face is needed in order to push ratings. Examples of Ring of Honor Icons Nathaniel Davis, Billy Bond, and Zac Sharp have been used to further the point as it was during their individual runs as the ace that GZW2K1 ratings were at an all-time high.
The jury is still out on Vyper as a main event hero. Many feel that Vyper is not mentally prepared to burden such a heavy load citing his sub par workrate when it comes to promoting the current feud with Icon Monarch and have voiced that maybe the Executive Committee should have either pushed current GZW2K1 Intercontinental Heavyweight Champion Sean Locke or persuade a high profile face to return out of retirement.
It is known that the elevation of Vyper should be complete by Anniversary Armageddon 2011 where it is said that Vyper is set to go over Icon Monarch for the GZW2K1 World Heavyweight Championship in a Sixty Minute Iron Man match.
Rumors are afloat that manager extraordinaire Nikita Fortune will be returning to her onscreen persona known as Strife. It is unsure if it was the Executive Committees idea or the GroundZero Enterprises Senior Vice-President, but the dirtsheets are buzzing with her possible return and a possible reincarnation of Strife's Dungeon or Voodoo.
