MONDAY NIGHT THROWDOWN
[/u][/b]August 23rd 2004
The show opened to a lush video package promoting Clancy McClean’s Neophyte Of The Year tournament. Footage of each participant in action was shown, accompanied by Richard Wagner’s “Ride Of The Valkyries”. Particular attention was paid to Heretics “Buzzing” Electric Sharpe and Phillip Tytan as well as to Mr. McClean’s personal entrant, Redrum. The usual fireworks display ensued, kicking off the third webcast edition of Monday Night Throwdown.
In-Ring
"Imperium" by Machine Head began to blast through the PA system, and from the backstage came the GZW World Heavyweight Champion the "Living Legend" Pimp Bizkit, as he came to the ring the crowd where deafeningly booing the self-proclaimed "Living Legend", who seemed to revel in the response of the crowd.
Pimp demanded a microphone as he entered the ring, and waited for the crowd to settle down a little before he bagan to speak. Pimp went on to talk about the Contest of Champions, and how every man who was entering, was entering for a shot at His World Heavyweight title from the "Lone Gunman" to Paul Spartan, where looking to call all the way in the Battle Royale. Pimp said how there was some good talent in the Battle Royale, before reminding everyone that he was also to be a part of the Battle Royale for a shot at his own Heavyweight title, and said that despite other Heretics being in the match that they all recognised that was to be an everyman for their selves tournament, and that should it occur that the Heretics where to face off against one another then that would be exactly what would happen."
Pimp then went on to claim that one of he Heretics would indeed win the Battle Royale, with everyone else entering it, as just wasting their time, and his.
"Imperium" by Machine Head began to play again, as Pimp made his way backstage once again with the crowd once again getting on the "Living Legend's" back.
“Rizin’ Star” Kid Kaos Vs. “Hardcore Messiah” Wylder
Kid Kaos received a HUGE pop coming into this, his first televised match in almost a year. The crowd weren’t as quick to welcome UJW’s “Hardcore Messiah” Wylder, pelting the one-time GZW Historian with donuts as he came to the ring. Kaos was quick to get the early advantage, scoring with several innovative high flying attacks. The tough Wylder withstood the onslaught, coming back with a series of stiff right hands. Wylder proceeded to beat down and choke the former Regional Heavyweight Champion until being physically pulled off by Referee John Law. Kaos courageously battled back against the UJW star, getting a near fall with his “K-Driver” (Dominator to Implant DDT), which seemed to infuriate Wylder even more. The Hardcore Messiah came close to being disqualified in a physical confrontation with the strict Ref Law concerning Wyder’s wish to take the match to the outside, giving Kaos time to recuperate and nail Wylder from behind with the “Kaotic Kruzha” (Implant Eye Of The Hurricane) for the three count, much to the delight of the crowd. Post-match, Wylder went crazy and attempted to choke out Kid Kaos, until HKWF’s Reject ran in and made the inadverted save with a broom handle wrapped in barbed wire, he and Wylder brawling into the crowd.
Winner Via Pinfall: Kid Kaos
Immediately after beating the "Hardcore Messiah" Wylder, Kid Kaos' attention was drawn to the entranceway as the returning Bastard Son of GZW stepped onto the entranceway. The attending crowd was in awe at Paul Spartan as he made his way down to ringside, booing the first man to ever hold the GZW2K1 World Heavyweight Championship.
In the ring Spartan preached to Kid Kaos about the ills of GZW2K1 and it's money hungry capitalistic executives. He went on to "enlighten" Kaos about how the crowd that so greatly cheered for him were actually just there to "watch him bleed". The most sadistic man to ever grace a GZW ring offered a handshake to Kaos, which of course the Rizin' Star was reluctant to take.
Inevitably, Kaos decided not to shake Spartan's hand and The First swiftly gave Kaos a Kage Kick and a good ol' fashioned stomp down. To end it all Spartan applied his Crimson Grin before referees flooded the ring.
Preparation
Pre-taped footage of Willie Haire training for his match with Seven was shown on the Zerotron. The former GZW2K1 Tag Team Champion spent the better part of five minutes in the Haire family back garden stretching and lunging. On cue, Mammy Haire emerged from somewhere off camera wearing a home-made “Mrs. H” promotional apron over a gaudy green dress. The elderly woman held up a piece of cardboard with a crudely drawn microphone on it and began to interview her 6’7 son. Trying to hide obvious excitement, Mammy asked Willie how he felt going into his match with “The Dark Angel” Seven. Willie idiotically joked that he was scared, claiming that “Seven ate Nine”, before becoming distracted by a squirrel and darting off camera. Mammy chuckled cheesily before giving the camera a thumbs-up complete with her trademark gummy grin and an emphatic “Oh, Willie…” as the footage came to a close.
In-Ring
"Warrior 2" by Lloyd Banks kicked in around the arena as the young upstart knownly simply as Kid X made his way down the ramp to the ring to a mixed reaction from the crowd. Kid X shook a couple of female hands on the way down and winked at them all before sliding into the ring and raising both hands above his head. He walked around the ring a couple of times before pulling a mic out of his pocket and raising it to his lips.
Kid X began talking about how in his match tonight it would be the most exciting man in wrestling today going up against an alcoholic beverage in the form of Redrum.
X began to mimmick the gigantic man by sticking his arms out in front of him and walking from side to side while quoting from "Jack and the Beanstalk."
Kid X mentioned how he was the only man in the tournament with any skill what so ever and that this tourny would be a breeze and that there wasn't a soul or alcoholic beverage that could stand in his way from getting all the way to the finals.
Kid X looked over his shoulder at some of the screaming ladies and winked at them before blowing a kiss there way and smiling.
Kid X stated that when he got into the ring it would be a good warm up for him and that he would roll through Redrum like a speeding train.
Kid X then dropped the mic as "Warrior 2" kicked back. X flipped over the ropes and made his way up the ramp and through the curtain.
“The Dark Angel” Seven Vs. Willie Haire
Seven was obviously livid, coming off his high-profile loss at the hands of Tonya Glory. The two big men locked horns for several moments in a test of strength, with Willie surprisingly getting the advantage. The Irishman was quick to follow through with a series of spur-of-the-moment powerslams on the Dark Angel, managing to score a two count. From there, Seven began to battle back and took Willie through the proverbial wringer with high impact move after high impact move. At one point, Seven had Willie propped for a superplex, but the former Tag Team Champion battled out of it and floored the Dark Angel with a huge shoulder block from the top, much to the delight of the crowd. Again Willie would only manage a two-count, and from there, Seven seemed to snap. The Dark Angel exploded with a huge flurry of lefts and rights followed up with a clothesline from Hell, completing his “Dazed & Confused” combination. Not content with that, Seven proceeded to drop a seemingly beaten Willie with “Retribution” (Sitting Tombstone), followed quickly with “A Blaze Of Glory” (Roll Of The Dice) for the epidemic three count at a little over twelve minutes.

In-Ring
The W.C.E.K Television Champion, "The Unbreakable Female" Tonya Glory, made her way to the ring to a mixture of cheers and boos. Once in the ring Glory proceeded to congratulate herself on her hard fought win last week at Crimson. She said that even though Ring of Honor Icon Jason "Fubu" Makavelli was the special referee and that it seemed like the entire roster made a run-in, it was all her wrestling ability that helped her become the W.C.E.K TV Champ. Sensing her cocky arrogant attitude coming out the crowd showered her with jeers. Glory simply shrugged them off and paced the ring.
She reminded everyone that she had dedicated her win to the late "Wild Card" Eddie Knoxville. In keeping with that the head Trouble Trax trainer went on to say that she couldn't completely take all the credit for her win as there was one person who was pivotal. Pointing to the entranceway the well dressed Andrew Excelsior came down to the tune of "Something to Lust About" by Scarlet. Once in the ring the two hugged before Glory announced Excelsior as her new manager. Excelsior's turn on the mike yielded him praising Glory as an all around wrestler and champion regardless of the fact she is a woman. He went on by saying that now that she is a titleholder and has the political ties that comes with the services of Andrew Excelsior "the sky is the limit" for Glory. He let it be known that his client would be accepting all comers to the W.C.E.K TV title and that Pimp prepare himself for a wrestling date with an unbreakable female.[/center]
