It has been confirmed that GroundZero Wrestling 2K1 World Heavyweight Champion Ring of Honor Icon James "Monarch" Corbin will be facing Hong Kong Wrestling Federation World Heavyweight Champion Mychael Lord this Saturday March 26th 2011 in Hong Kong in a non-title match. The event, Wrestle Relief, is being hosted by HKWF and all proceeds raised will be donated to the Red Cross in order to assist devastated families in Japan.
It should be duly noted that this will be the first time ever that the two former students of HKWF Hall of Famer Michael Irons will have ever faced each other in the squared circle. Icon Corbin is without a doubt Irons' greatest and most accomplished student while many insiders have always hailed Lord as Irons' second greatest.
Unconfirmed word is that Sean O'Gara, former member of toXin (with Kev Mania and 2006 Lord of the Coliseum Jon Kellar), has re-signed a GZW2K1 contract. Many are speculating that O'Gara will be signing on as a trainer at Trouble Trax due to his extensive wrestling knowledge and aptitude for teaching.
There has been talk that the seventeen year old son of Commissioner Nathaniel Davis has recently signed a developmental contract with GZW2K1 over the past few months. Reports have been released that the Ring of Honor Icon's son has excelled and is at the top of his class at Trouble Trax.
