A former Champion is poised to make his/her grand return at the Special Broadcast Event: Manchester Again on April 30th, 2011. At this time there is no confirmation on the Globalstars identity but there is a good chance that the returning Champion will be inserted into the World Tag Team Championship match as the tag partner of Lord Leon Corbin.
Medicals reports have leaked online concerning Ring of Honor Icon James "Monarch" Corbin's medical condition. It is well documented that the World Heavyweight Champion has for years been treated for congestive heart failure and high blood pressure. It is believed that Icon Corbin's blood pressure shot up during his match against John Champa at Titan. If this is true it would explain the run-in of Intercontinental Heavyweight Champion Sean Locke as Icon Corbin was slated to win the match cleanly.
With Eva Corbin (stagename Eva Hikari) now on maternity leave plans for a program against her mother-in-law, Kandi Fortune-Corbin, have been scrapped. The Phoenix had been in general discussions with GZW2K1 creative and a match was believed to have materialized sometimes this summer during the Summer Heat Tour.
There has been increased chatter as of late of relocating the main operation of GZW2K1 to London, England. This would mean that normal broadcasting such as Crimson, Titan, and Storm would be filmed from not in Atlanta, Georgia but in London. Talk is that there is an investment group looking to purchase all wrestling operations from Ground Zero Enterprises, the parent company of GZW2K1, but there has been no word on whether or not GZW2K1 is even on the market.
