There has been heavy talk in the Command Suite about re-signing former GroundZero Wrestling 2K1 enhancement wrestler, Santa Claus. Claus was released from GZW2K1 in earlier 2006 and subsequently picked up by Creation Wrestling II. Since that time Claus has acquired quite an independent following attracting the attention of GZW2K1. Common thought is that if Claus is re-signed he will be immediately brought up to the main roster and put into a program against current "Wild Card" Eddie Knoxville Television Champion, Kolic.
Rumor has it that the locker room is up in arms concerning Ring of Honor Icon Nathan "T-Rex" Williams holding of the GZW2K1 World Heavyweight Championship. Feelings are that a younger Globalstar should be carrying the title at this point in time. Talk is that a planned boycott by several Globalstars is in the works that could ultimately effect this year's Summer Heat Tour.
The proposed Blast from the Past battle royale that is tentatively scheduled to take place at Heatwave Eight is in jeopardy of falling apart in its earliest stages. Whispers are that a majority of the potential entrants have declined to participate largely due in part to the perceived image that battle royale will place upon them. "Old fogies," "geezers," and "over the hill" have been some phrases associated with those that might be in the event.
Recently returned Globalstar, Quake, has been offered a substantial amount of money in order to join the broadcast table alongside The Stooges (Patrick Nelson, Joshua Samson, and Todd Crumb) on a permanent basis after his guest appearances in several matches at the special broadcast event known as Manchester Again tested through the roof. It is believed that the former "Wild Card" Eddie Knoxville Television is more important behind the microphone than in the ring as an active Globalstar.
As reported in April, the talk of an investment group inquiring about the acquisition of GZW2K1 has taken a serious turn. The latest reports have confirmed that Mercury Investment, based in London, England, have offered a very large dollar amount. There still has been no confirmation from Ground Zero Enterprises, the parent company of GZW2K1, on whether or not GZW2K1 is on the market.
