In efforts to lift tensions between Chris Cairns and Clancy McClean as to who receives top billing as guest editor of the upcoming tenth anniversary edition of HotWire Magazine, GZW2K1 has proposed the simultaneous release of two editions of the publications, with one giving pride of place to Cairns and the other to McClean. McClean has reportedly blasted the proposal as “completely unacceptable” and vowed to bury the project through lengthy court proceedings if he doesn’t get his way. On the other side, Cairns has issued McClean an open challenge to settle the dispute in a wrestling match. A spokesman for McClean was quick to remind Dirt that while Clancy is a former GZW2K1 United States Heavyweight Champion, Cairns failed to even qualify for the 2005 Lord of the Coliseum tournament, and thus Cairns is not in Clancy’s league in terms of in-ring ability. The spokesman refused to plainly state whether or not Clancy would be accepting Cairns’ challenge, but promised that all would be revealed on an upcoming IGW broadcast.
